Irisu no atorie: Etanâru mana (2004)

Review by spurndonor

Irisu no atorie: Etanâru mana

10/10

Solid Game

You can't go wrong with this game. It has adorable graphics that remind me of FF Tactics and silly dialog that makes me laugh. You can upgrade some of your weapons and armor as well as create items to hurl at your enemies or help your own team. One of the highlights in this game is that I can craft things - I love that. It brings me great joy just making items. You can unlock unnecessary but cute things, such as character bios and pictures, as well as all the music from the game.

The guy who does the voice for Alucard in Hellsing does the voice for the womanizing character of Delsus (and its quite a sexy voice to boot).

The game play is straight forward and easy to do. Its combat system is a standard turn based one according to the highest speed factor. Unlike most rpg's now, you don't need to buy a book or search the internet looking for a way through a dungeon or that certain way to kill the big bad guy at the end of every mission. All you have to do is play smart, keep Klein's mana reserves filled and make sure the Mana's that travel with you are healthy.

To sum up - I give this game a 10 - even with the dialog being what it is. The replay factor alone makes up for the stupid lines and "psycho-bitchness" of Lita. After all, it IS a Japanese game. The character's mostly follow the Japanese RPG formula.

Great Game! It most certainly gets my teen-girl stamp of approval!
