Swathi Kiranam (1992)

Review by visualcpp

Swathi Kiranam

8/10

Great work resembles "Amadeous"

Again a master piece from great Kala Thapasvi (in Telugu it means The person who devotes his life for arts) K.Viswanath and first (always) in my favorite directors list.

It's a story of a Great classical singer (Mammooty) and a boy who is just starting his career in classical music. But with his knowledge and talent he is in a position to overcome that legend, which couldn't be tolerated by this boy. Internally he realize the boy's talents but couldn't tolerate him anymore.

This resembles the story of "Amadeous" but developed and shot for Indian classical base and environment. Needless to say music is the back bone for this movie and in the name of K.V.Mahadevan his assistant Pugalendhi has composed all the songs. Each song is a master piece.

Radhika did her best and (after "Swathimuthyam" by K.Viswanath) she got an excellent opportunity to show her talent.

A Worth Watching Movie!!
