Code... Death: Frontera Sur (1993)

Review by jete_2000

Code... Death: Frontera Sur

8/10

I was an extra in this movie.

This was a very good production filmed in the jungles of Chiapas in Mexico. I had auditioned and was selected to play the part of one of the Jungle Mercenary rebels. The leader of the this mercenary crew was played by no other than the man himself...David Caradine. His right hand man Sargent at arms was played by Singer/Actor Isaac Hayes.

The opposition of the rebels were called "The Federales" the Mexican Federal Police. The major Mexican actors in this role were Hugo Stiglitz who also produced and partly directed the film and Roberto "Flaco" Guzman.

Guzman played one of the police captives held for ransom and information about the missing two million dollars lost in the jungle. "The Federales" found the money and hid it. The rebels were searching for it and dismissing anyone that got in their way.

This movies was filmed in the winter months of 1993. However the winter months for the U.S. means excellent weather conditions near the Guatemalan Border. It's a good movie all in all. There were two versions that were released. The Spanish version and Bi-lingual version which is the truer version. You hear the actual voices of the American Actors.
