love the idea
Mica (Douglas Smith) has been smelling like fish since birth. Doctors do nothing but prescribe their sponsored soaps and pills. Nothing works. His father abandons him. His mother raises him alone. He finds sanctuary in chlorinated pools. One day, he meets Laura (Zoë Kravitz) at the local pool. Catherine (Carrie-Anne Moss) is his longtime psychiatrist.
Original title is The Boy Who Smells Like Fish. That is more direct and so much more memorable. I really love this concept although there is a lot of meat left on the bone. First, Laura should have an inability to smell. They are halfway there. They should go all the way for the poetry. Second, Mica should know Laura's name after seeing the neckless. I thought that's what he meant. That situation is not thought out all the way through. Beside those issues, the story needs more drama. Sure, things are happening, but they need to be dramatic. I still love the idea and wouldn't mind someone working out the story more.
