Very Nearly a 10!
I saw the debut screening in LA, and Wow! Hard to believe this is a first directorial effort. Besides being a laugh-out-loud treat from the opening frame to the credit song (and the director was both lyricist and singer), the cliched (of course) scenes show restraint and artistry unusual for a 20-plus minute short. He really pulled the best from some veteran character actors, especially Kirk Woller and F.X. Vitolo.
Jenkins might have restrained from casting himself as an obnoxious cop (in a bit role), but in every other area he shines, and so does Cliche. Watch for bigger and even better things from this kid.
