Clair de lune (1986)

Review by frenchhorn927

Clair de lune

You're not Dreamin' it's the Moon Dreamers!

The Moon Dreamers were magical creatures that lived in Space in a fantasy world called "Starry Up", located right above Earth. They were responsible for making sure that the children of Earth had good dreams. There were several characters, each with a different job to do in Starry Up, to help keep it running properly. This was only around on television for only a short while in the late 80s, and most have probably forgotton about it. But it was a great show! The characters had their own personality, and had special qualities that made them unique. Crystal was the leader, Sparky Dreamer created the dream machine, a contraption that made these magical crystals that helped aid in the dream making process, Bitsy and Blinky would take the crystals and put them in a special place in Starry Up so that the dream machine could work properly, Whimzee would run the dream machine, Dream Gazer was the wise one who kept a library of all the dreams ever created, and Celeste and her Dragon Galaxia were responsible for putting the moon into place, thus making it night. There was also Bucky Buckaroo, Starry Up's fix it boy who would ride on a comet singing to himself. And we can't forget the evil Scowlene, the evil witch who lived under Starry Up who would try to foil the Moon Dreamers' plans, but she never succeded. This show taught team work and discipline, something that few cartoons today ever touch on. It was truly a great show.
