Betty Arvaniti, Lambros Konstantaras, and Dionysis Papagiannopoulos in Kati kourasmena palikaria (1967)

Review by jcsiap

Kati kourasmena palikaria

10/10

Konstandaras, Papayannopoulos, Exarhakos at their best!!!

Perhaps the best comedy performance in the big screen for legendary movie and theatrical actor, the late Lambros Konstandaras! In the film he plays the role of a 50 years old successful businessman, who falls in love with a much younger girl (adorable actress Nora Valsami in her early youth!) despite the fact he's engaged for years with his faithful secretary (beloved actress Betti Arvaniti)! His closest friend in the film is a doctor -played by the late Dionyssis Papayannopoulos at his very best performance as an actor in a supporting role!- who tries to keep him out of trouble, since he finds out that the supposed romance is in fact a trap, a well-organised plan to take a lot of money from him! Almost 40 years after the original realize date of this classic film (1967) the clever lines and jokes remain fresh and timeless, and makes it one the most remembered and -according to my opinion- one the best Greek comedy films ever!
