This has got to be the worst kind of waste of celluloid ever committed to the screen for the entire history of cinema! I'm not exaggerating...described by director Elling as a "visuel poem" this pretentious load of rubbish is interminably unwatchable, proved by the less than impressive performance at the box office, when given a (limited) release in 1990. Less than 70 unfortunate people paid for a ticket (no reports as to who many walked out, but my guess would be pretty close to 100%!), resulting in a financial disaster for executive producer Peter Aalbæk Jensen, who paid off debts for the film the following ten years! As for the plot: Well, two women recite dreary poetry in the rain. Boredom ensues! Director Tom Elling showed promise as a cinematographer on Lars Von Trier's debut feature "The Element of Crime", but squanders his talent with this piece of ... well you know the rest. Available only in the video section of Danish libraries, this is simply just a worthless waste of anyone's time, although it might prove an effective cure for insomnia...
