Sibelle Hu and Moon Lee in Raid pour l'honneur (1989)

Review by unbrokenmetal

Raid pour l'honneur

5/10

Running out of ideas after 30 minutes

"Red Force 3` a.k.a. `Megaforce 2' was now re-re-released as `Ultra Force 2' on (German language) DVD, which is not only confusing but also misleading, since there's already another `Ultra Force 2' around in Europe (starring Michelle Yeoh, and nothing to do with this one).

"Lie mo qun ying" tells the story of an aging gangster boss who is chased by the police and his own men, too - since his young rival Shing wants to become the new leader of the gang. The first half hour of the film starts rather promising, since a mysterious young woman tries to confuse the opponents and seemingly (!) is on nobody else's side in the chase. Unfortunately, after 30 minutes the movie turns into a permanent gunfight. Not really sophisticated, wasting a lot of ammunition and not telling us anything new, so finally it ends up as an average genre movie only (voted 5/10). Worth watching for fans of Moon Lee, though.

The Germany-16 rated disc runs for only 76 minutes, although the cover states 86! Must be one of those strange, purely accidental printing errors ;-) But at least the picture quality is very good for a cheapo.
