Ramon Bieri, K Callan, Melissa Francis, Christopher Knight, Michael Sharrett, Melissa Sherman, and Ari Zeltzer in Joe's World (1979)

Review by dtucker86

Joe's World

Why doesn't anyone remember this show?

It is like this is the case of a show that sank without a trace! I remember watching this show as a 12 year old in the summer of 1980. I remember I first started watching it because Christopher Knight (Peter Brady) was in it. The late Ramon Bieri and K Callan played the Wabashes a middle class, blue-collar family (sort of like the Roseanne show). The show was about them dealing with typical family issues in a humorous way. One episode dealt with the older son having a drinking problem and another with the daughter cheating on a test in school because Joe was so demanding. Joe Wabash was a old fashioned sort of father but he and his wife really loved their children. They reminded me of the Brady's a lot because they were a strong family unit who solved their problems with togetherness and love. It was a funny show and I would love to see it in syndication. You don't see a lot of good family shows anymore that really are PRO family, I mean the old fashioned nuclear family and its a damn shame.
