One from the "Golden Age"
Different people call the late 70's-early 80's the "Golden Age" of porn for different reasons. To some of us it seemed like the productions then were somehow more "real" and exciting than today's. Perhaps it's just waxing romantic about the films of our youth (something we do with "legitimate" flicks also). But the movies back then seemed to have a kind of an underground "outlaw" quality, something sort of anarchic. Of course, this feeling was enhanced when you furtively snuck into the porno theatre, praying nervously that no one would recognize you!
"Sweet Cakes" was neither the best nor worst of these films (which really were shot on film, not video), just a representative one. What I remember best is a great outdoor scene with kink queen Serena (with a Civil War soldier, no less!)and an appearance by Patricia Lee (aka Desiree West). She was a pretty young woman with brown skin and lovely large, natural breasts. She made relatively few movies but some of us porn fans have mighty long memories.
