This is one of the funniest burlesques of a serious play ever done, all the funnier because it is done in verse(although in this version it is rhymed verse),and the plot is followed faithfully. Most of the humor comes from Cantinflas (as Romeo) himself,since the rest of the cast appears to be taking the whole thing quite seriously,although ridiculous remarks are introduced into the dialogue.
