Through the arid and nondescript 'Doomlands', Danny Doom (Mark Little) will pilot his mobile bar, the Oasis, while slinging Doomshine with his crew, Lhandi (Kayla Lorette), Xanthena (Ashley Holliday Tavares), Onorato (also voiced by Mark Little), and Jep (Roger Bainbridge). Whether it be mutant centipede humanoids or toad-like creatures with a thirst, the Oasis will be there.

The show is animated in a 'Rick and Morty' sort of style, with a lower budget. The script is a bit wild, in terms of continuity and story telling, but there are some genuinely deep episodes, such as the season 2 finale. Doomlands relies on a status quo setup, so don't worry about any of the main characters; they'll be back!

When Talon (Jessica Green), the last surviving Blackblood - a race of humanoid creatures with black blood and pointed ears - is hunted down, she seeks refuge in 'The Outpost'; a strategic fort located in the heart of large hills. Together with Captain Garrett Spears (Jake Stormoen), Brewer Janzo (Anand Desai-Barochia), and Munt (Adam Johnson), Talon will face off against those who hunt her and other threats to the realm.

This show is interesting, despite the low budget special effects and the curious acting choices (especially in the first season). After the initial episodes, the quality does get better. There are some plot holes and some unique attributes that get forgotten about or waylaid until much later, but overall, an amusing show with a satisfying ending.

Worth a watch!

'The Last of Us', based off the Naughty Dog video game series of the same name, follows Joel Miller (Pedro Pascal), who throughout a world-wide zombie-like fungal infection pandemic, must take Ellie (Bella Ramsey) - the only one immune to the fungus - to a military hospital in order to synthesize a cure for the disease.

The acting and the set pieces are all top notch! With only a few minor adjustments to the game lore - such as the fungus spreading through fibrous tendrils rather than spores - the show is a spot-on adaptation of the game. Even some of the camera angles of the show are designed to reinsert the players of the original material into some of the most heart pounding scenes in the game.

Definitely worth a watch! Especially if you are a fan of the games.
