I thought it was stupid at first and listened rather than watching. I wound it back when I finished working and what a treat!
DUMB, SILLY, FUNNY and the stereotypes were outlandish, but sometimes folks gotta lighten up!
If you want something that's not political or trauma based racial conflict, this is for you. I get tired of of preachy movies trying to socially engineer me, sometimes I just wanna have a laugh.
I had quite a few and I hope the people who review in the future understand that everything isn't written to get an academy award... sometimes a movie is a 10, because it's not! This is an example of a decent movie without an agenda, just wilding out and having fun.

This was such a great movie and acting aside, it's someone's life story... people really need to stop being critical about how actors portray someone's life. Who are you or I to judge that? It's not a made up fictional account of some basic Becky nonsense.
Let the story be told and you can love or hate the people according to their actual character, not according to the actors playing a character. In my opinion, the director did an excellent job just letting the film roll, as it were, and just followed everyone around as their did their thing. That's what I truly liked about it. It was gritty and realistic, not pretty, no long speeches or beautiful artificial sets.
Just the facts. The beauty was in nature, in the Arizona desert where they trained and seeing all the cactus. Everything else was 100% as it normally is in America, drab, upside mortgage, spouse is lying for whatever reason, mom's doing the best she can.
I loved it! I think we should be able to give people's life stories a 20 to make up for folks that think they have the right to judge someone after they have opened up their entire being, to strangers.

I came here expecting to see a 9 or a 10... not a 5. It's true about being 3x better and still not getting the same accolades isn't it? She may not Concur, but that is what's happening here Even Stevie Wonder man can see it.
2024 as been BETTER than 2023 for Candace and I didn't think she could top the George Floyd and BLM documentaries!
She did, however, with the Kamala Harris lineage series. I've never seen anything like it. True investigative journalism on a hot topic with international implications, unfolding in real time.
Candace changed the course of the election and I would sure like to see Donald Trump acknowledge that publicly.
I would also like to nominate Candice Owens for the Pulitzer Prize for that series on Kamala Harris and recently, her Podcast (today!) on the USS Liberty being blown up by Israel, which has carpet bombed Gaza, Syria, Lebanon, sent drones and assassinated people in Iraq and Iran and are now invading Syria as we speak.
I learned all this just watching her podcasts and I sure hope the Pulitzer committee is looking at her work.
Her interview with Scott Horton 2 days ago entitled 'Syria Falls and it's Not a Good Thing'' was exceptional. It was 2hrs and I listened twice! Also, the Andrew & Tristan Tate interviews in Romania humanized them in a way we haven't seen before, even getting Andrew to admit he had converted to Islam for the first time.
Again, a stellar performance going unrecognized by mainstream media.
I did a search to see if 'Candace' was on the IMDb board's 'top picks' but I should have known... they are glaringly pop culture with nothing intellectual in the top 20. You are remiss in overlooking Mrs Owens because of her political and social beliefs with regard to gender and race, which, are simply common sense and not controversial.
Yet I am sure that is why she's not included.
But alas, that is the label given to her so that her thought provoking work can be ignored by the mainstream media with a clear conscious and journalism committees like yours.
I hope she is given a fair and honest shot at the next round of 'top picks' that should be based on content, not views. People don't like medicine, but they have to take it to be healed.
