F1 was a movie I was looking forward to seeing, as I'm a fan of Brad Pitt as an actor, and because it's the same director of Top Gun which, while somewhat overrated, is a good movie, especially in the visual sense. As far as the visuals and directing goes, F1 is every bit as good as Maverick. The acting is also top-notch from everyone. The races are also well done and tension-filled.

I've seen a few notable racing films: Rush, Ford vs. Ferrari, Gran Turismo, and now F1. How does F1 compare to those films? For now, I will say Ford vs. Ferrari is still my favorite racing film. I will say I like this film more than Rush. Is it better than Gran Turismo? I don't know. I'd say they're about the same. If you're a big fan of racing movies, then this film is a must-watch.

If you're a fan of good movies, this is also worth a watch. It's pretty good.

28 Years Later is the latest installment of the 28 franchise, nearly twenty years after the last one. At this point, they should've just held off until 2030, so it really would've been 28 years since 28 Days Later. So, is this film worth such a long wait? Most franchises that return after such a long hiatus are usually really good, or bad. If you ask the critics, they'd say it's the former, as most seem to adore this movie. But with audiences, the response is more mixed. Some love the movie, whilst others are quite negative. While there are certainly things to like about the movie, sadly, I lean more towards the negative side.

Initially, I had no hype for this film when I first saw the teaser. I like 28 Days Later, alright, though I do think it's overrated. I also like the movie Sunshine, a film also made by Danny Boyle and Alex Garland, like this film. I like most of Alex Garland's work, even some of his more divisive stuff. Just this year, he made Warfare, which was a pretty good movie; his best in a while. So, I had some hope for this film.

I will say the film is visually pleasing. The cinematography is nice. It's well acted by everyone, especially the two big names attached. I like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and while Ralph Fiennes isn't in much of the film, he's great when he is present. I will say, the first third of this film was fairly solid.

However, after said first third, the film, in my opinion, drags and becomes rather dull. That's the film's biggest sin to me; that it's pretty boring for two-thirds of it. Plus, I just didn't care for the main characters that much, aside from Aaron Taylor-Johnson's character. There's this other character that appears in the middle of the film that I found quite irritating, and he is just killed off as suddenly as he arrives. What was the purpose of him? To me, this feels like a superfluous movie.

I'm not a big fan of 28 Weeks Later either, but I will say I goy more enjoyment out of that than this film. This film seems to ignore the events of that movie entirely, to my slight annoyance. While 28 Weeks wasn't that great, it did end on an interesting note that admittedly had me hyped for next potential installment, but this film doesn't follow up on that at all. Contrarily, this film's ending was just...weird. I don't know how to even feel about it. The last five minutes felt like I was watching a different movie. It went from the tone of Dawn of the Dead to Zombieland. It was bizarre.

If they're setting up for a sequel, I honestly don't care at all. They should just not make any more movies if they're just going to be nothingburgers like this one. It's not an awful movie, but I largely found it a dull one compared to its predecessors.

Sinners is the latest movie from Ryan Coogler, and I would say one of his best to date, if not the best. It's impressive given that this is the director's first attempt at horror. Coogler is a bit of a hit or miss director for me. I like the first Black Panther, but not Black Panther 2. I think Creed is overrated. Still, this film definitely interested me from the trailers and poster, and it didn't disappoint.

This film definitely feels like the movie From Dusk Till Dawn. I would say this is that film for a new generation. I would be shocked if that film isn't at least somewhat an inspiration for Sinners. It follows a similar structure where the first half of the film is all setup and character building, and the vampires don't factor in until the second half. For anyone who's a fan of From Dusk Till Dawn, or vampire films in general (vampire horror films at least), this is definitely worth seeing.

It's a great-looking movie. It's definitely worth seeing on the big screen. The music is great, particularly in one sequence. Those who've seen the film will know what I'm talking about. In most movies, a sequence like that would feel jarring and out of place, but Coogler somehow managed to make it work. Everyone in the cast does a good job, particularly Michael B Jordan. I've always liked him as an actor, but he's never had a truly amazing role, at least since Chronicle. It was interesting seeing him play two different characters and having both feeling very distinct.

The one issue I have is pacing. This is a long movie, and you can feel it at points, especially at the end. The ending felt like it went on a bit longer than it needed to. From Dusk Till Dawn is a tighter film than this. It never overstayed its welcome.
