Betrayed by My Bridesmaid (2022) is the kind of film that makes you wonder if the writers think audiences have never seen a thriller before. The storyline is painfully predictable, same recycled scenario, same obvious suspects, same gullible victims, and the same tired outcome. From the first act, you'll be shouting at the screen as not one character possesses the basic common sense to ask the glaringly obvious questions. Why doesn't anyone question the bridesmaid's suspicious behaviour? Why does the protagonist ignore every red flag waved in her face? A normal person would demand answers, but here, everyone acts like a clueless pawn in this absurd game of melodrama.
By the final act, the frustration reaches boiling point. The so-called "victims" (who have been unfairly vilified the entire time) are still treated with suspicion, while the real culprit smirks their way through every scene. At this point, you're rooting for everything to go wrong, for karma to strike the wilfully oblivious lead and for the wronged party to walk away, never forgiving the idiots who doubted them. If you love rage-watching films where logic is abandoned for cheap twists, this is for you. Otherwise, steer clear, your sanity will thank you.

This film is an absolute car crash of melodrama, delivering some of the most toe-curlingly awful dialogue I've ever had the misfortune of hearing. No human being, certainly not one with a shred of self-awareness, would ever speak the way these characters do. The lines aren't just bad; they're aggressively cringe, lobbed into scenes with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer. One moment, characters are engaged in a tense confrontation, and the next, they're spouting baffling, pseudo-profound nonsense that belongs in a Year 9 drama class, not a feature film.
And let's talk about the acting, or rather, the painful lack thereof. The performances here are so wooden, you'd think the cast were reading their lines off invisible cue cards for the first time. There's no emotional depth, no authenticity, just a parade of stiff deliveries and exaggerated facial expressions that make the whole thing feel like a poorly rehearsed school play. Even the most dramatic moments are undercut by how utterly unconvincing everyone is, leaving you wondering if the director simply gave up halfway through and hoped no one would notice.
The film's attempts at gravitas fall laughably flat, with every supposedly poignant moment ruined by clunky writing and baffling character decisions. It's as if the script was cobbled together from discarded soap opera outtakes, then dialled up to eleven for maximum absurdity. By the time the credits rolled, I wasn't moved, I was just relieved it was over.
A Brother's Honour isn't just bad; it's offensively bad. A perfect storm of terrible writing, dire acting, and cringe-inducing moments that will haunt you long after you've turned it off. Avoid at all costs.

The acting in this movie is absolutely dreadful, easily some of the worst I've ever seen. The characters feel like lifeless cardboard cutouts, completely robotic in their emotions and interactions. Their words come out in a monotone, with no variation or genuine feeling, and their facial expressions and body language don't align with what they're supposed to be feeling. The reactions make no sense, and the writing is just as atrocious - completely disconnected from reality. On top of that, the background music and sound effects are mismatched and jarring, as if handled by a complete amateur. It's not even laughably bad - it's just painful to watch. Everything about this movie lacks cohesion, effort, and heart. An absolute disaster from start to finish!
This film is a low-budget disaster that fails on nearly every front. The acting is embarrassingly bad, with performances that feel more like stiff mannequins than actual characters. The music, especially during the supposed suspenseful moments, is an absolute misfire - clashing awkwardly with the tone of the scenes and doing nothing to heighten the tension. Unfortunately, the so-called suspenseful moments are anything but, offering zero thrills or anticipation.
The script is shockingly awful, filled with cringe-worthy dialogue and plot points that feel forced and poorly executed. Despite this, it somehow manages to be tolerable as background noise - though that's about the only thing it does well. The story is painfully predictable, with the villain being so obvious from the start that there's no room for surprise or intrigue.
There are also far too many unanswered questions that leave the viewer scratching their head, wondering if the filmmakers simply forgot to tie up loose ends. The parents' characters, in particular, are frustratingly robotic and emotionless - more like cardboard cutouts than actual human beings. It's hard to invest in any of the characters when they feel so unrealistic and detached. Ultimately, this film feels like an afterthought, a missed opportunity, and one that's not worth more than a casual glance.

Seriously wondering what the heck happened.
Was it meant to be cringey comical?
Absolutely NO ONE could act.
Genuinely Shocked!
I have never seen Jonathan Reys Meyers and Jon Voight act this badly before . And the rest of them seem to be lower than amateurs. I'd say fresh out of school but more like day one in school!
I have never heard of Will Sasso before but I sure hope I never ever see him again! How was he even casted.
The script writing was pathetic. Lack of empathy, lack of realism. I'm going to have to see my reviews and see if I have watched anything as silly, cringey and bad as this before.

Now this was a good watch. It was humorous and filled with action. The cast were definitely the right choice.
It was actually refreshing to see a normal skinny guy who doesn't have the 'hero' look nor the 'hero' talk, beat the crap out of thugs.
Honestly they need to make more of these. Because the 'cheesy' in this was actually worth the watch. They should make a sequel.

First couple of episodes were really good. Then it started to go downhill when things just wouldn't add up and make sense. What started off as a super natural horror didn't end like that. And lots of events that took place stopped making sense.
Best thing about this series are the friends. They were a believable bunch of Northerners! This really made you care about them.
It's definitely not a budget movie and is filmed very well. The actors are brilliant.
But I seriously wished it didn't have so many flaws and pot holes! Such huge potential from all around, I wish the writers were a bit more clued on.

Please don't bother wasting your time. This could have had So much potential, but 'actors' like Summer Glau just made it impossible to look past the sheer patheticness! Where are her face expressions? Lol. The script writers need sacking and these 'actors' need to never be hired ever again by anyone! I just couldn't deal with the amount of them in one series! Too long, too cringey. But if you are looking for a laugh, then give it a go. Lol.
