What a great movie. If only they would have used a real good actor playing genie! In stead they used a burnt out, forgotten, and abusive man. Which is really sad, and not like Disney at all. The story, music, characters, make the film feel like the original quite so much, really, but oh my should they have chosen another genie! What it could have been. But the movie has been made, nothing to do with it. The average score of this remake, is quite average, I too rate it average. It just missed the spot of being epic! I remember when the original came out in the nineties. It was great. I played the super nintendo game of the movie. It was great. After I watched this movie, I re watched the original super superior version. And I was happy again.

This movie has some of the greatest acting I have seen in a norwegian movie. If you want a movie that are unpredictable, watch this one. If you want to see extraordinary good acting, watch this movie. The story is really compelling, and the use of a trivial setting, like in a school for a parents meeting makes up for a fantastic stage for the viewer to observe and immerse in this class act.

Renate Reinsve shows us a level of acting that I don't want to compare to anyone at the moment. I am looking forward to following her career. I must admit, after watching the movie "the worst person in the world" I had some other thoughts, but I think for me, that movie didn't hit the spot as story goes, I just didn't like it. But now I have seen her in a movie I like, and I see what she is capable of. Wow!

Well, this is a great movie, why? It's set on Svalbard, in an era where the mining company Store Norske still where on top. Showing how 3 men with a boat took advantage of the tourists that came along with their dumbness. Then they discovered something they shouldnt have. The political meaning between 2 nations, set in a very stratetic place on earth, are given the viewer in a clever way. The atmosphere from Longyearbyen, and the shots from the Huset, are so great, if you know about it's history, or have been there yourself.

The story itself are showing one possible way the norwegian government would try and hide away any possible confrontation with a big bear as the soviet nation in 1985 were. Very believable, sadly enough. The story goes along in a very good pace, and there are plenty of action. Furthermore the story goes on to Oslo, where some new shots of some very known places are shown, alongside a carneval in the middle of Karl Johan street.

A gem to be taken care of for future generations.
