Earthrise

Great premise, in that earth has now become the alien planet after humanity has relocated to Mars. The acting can feel a little forced in some scenes. As well as the pacing of the film kind of dragged a bit, but it still worth checking out especially if you're into sci-fi!

This film is more of the 60s or 70s style sci fi movie where CGI is not the main attraction but the story and atmosphere. I would call it a sci fi drama. Go into with the expectation of watching human drama with a sci fi setting rather than the other way around.

I'm looking for a movie or possibly even a series set on Mars. I've been scratching my head for some.time now,and I am not getting any closer. What i remember is:A fairly large base on Mars,partially underground in a large cavern the rest above ground in classic Mars movie arcitecture style habitats. There is a full science team working in hydroponics run by a pretty depressed leading botanist professor type. He frequently hallucinates about earth,seeing his beloved earth right outside the windows of the hydroponics. And one day he simply decides to open up the airlock and walk outside,as you can imagine to everyones as to his own disaster. I also remember a female scientist who works at the base having a scientist Sister at NASA on earth that she contantly communicates with on science issues. So I am hoping this might trigger someones memory and hoping someone might leave a note here to me on this. I am going to save this comment and plaster it anywhere I can,but as I say,I hope it will be you who decides to help me.

The acting is unbearably bad. I mean, seriously awful

I love good Science Fiction. That say's it all, 'Good' Science Fiction. Something that will have a story worth paying attention to, that will not bore me to tears.

Some will say that I have no business sending in a review, as I did not watch the entire movie, but sometimes it would seem, less is more. This is one of those cases. After 20 minutes, I decided life was too short to waste any more time.

Really can't see how this won any awards...

You can take a chance, see if you like it, as it would seem some have liked it, and maybe they are either easy to please, I maybe I am just too damn picky, you will have to decide for yourself.
