    The Future in an Exosuit

"Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" is one of those rare cases where the developers decided to shake up the established formula and add a hefty dose of futurism to the time-tested mechanics. And the result, it must be said, is a blast.

The story revolves around a future where nation-states can no longer handle global conflicts, and private military corporations have stepped in to take control. Leading the charge is a sinister yet charismatic "uncle" figure with big ambitions, played brilliantly by Kevin Spacey. His performance oozes charm - the kind that could take over any political stage... or maybe even the world. Players step into the shoes of Jack Mitchell, who suffers a serious blow in the game's prologue - and ends up enhanced with cutting-edge futuristic tech. The transformation looks awesome, and from there the story flings you across the globe and through a series of narrative highs and lows.

The game really does feel fresh: gone are the forever-suffering warzones of Europe or the endless Middle Eastern deserts. Instead, you're thrown into sleek futuristic cities, high-tech bases, and believable-looking technology that doesn't feel like it was pulled from a cartoon. The developers clearly let their imaginations run wild, but did so smartly - most of the gadgets seem plausible, not laughable.

Special shoutout to the exosuits. That's where things get really cool. You can jump higher, scale walls, and while the game doesn't always let you use the full potential of your suit, there are moments when you feel more than just a soldier - almost like a superhero. And that's a pretty great feeling.

The visuals are on fire. Bright, sharp, and stylish, with well-detailed models and special effects that hit just the right cinematic notes. At times, you catch yourself thinking, "Yeah... this really could be what the world looks like thirty years from now". Sound design, music, and mission pacing are all top-notch, just as you'd expect from a blockbuster title.

All in all, "Advanced Warfare" delivers exactly what you'd hope from a solid *Call of Duty* entry: a gripping story with a few twists, a slick and well-crafted world, tons of firefights, and some truly jaw-dropping moments. It's a bold and satisfying take on future warfare.

    9 out of 10.

One of the BEST Call of Duty's ever made!

This game is seriously amazing! After ghosts came out I thought Call of Duty was done for. Then I heard about Advanced Warfare and thought that maybe the new company Sledge Hammer can create something good, AND THEY DID! I enjoy everything this game has to offer! The campaign is really good! The story is well presented, better than the MW2 and MW3 and Ghosts campaigns. I never know what to expect which is rare for Call of Duty campaigns. The multiplayer is also amazing! You have your standard Team Deathmatch and search and destroy and all that which is alright, because the are still fun to play! Another big improvement that I really liked is the maps! They are a much better size so it's easier to find and kill other players. The maps are also very cool, one of the maps includes a tsunami which is really cool! They also added another game mode called Exo Survival! It's basically like the survival mode in MW3, except it's waaay cooler! You never know what your going to face, dogs, drones, or even just grab some intel. It's a fun experience and really fun to play! Overall, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare has kept the Call of Duty Saga alive! And is going to start a new era in Call of Dutys in the future!

This Is So Good Ply This Game It Is Even Gooood In 2020 If You Know What I Mean

    Best paced COD game yet.

Another year, another COD game, another satisfying, fast paced, on- the-rails campaign.

Story: Like the name would suggest, the game takes place somewhat in the future with more advance weaponry and tech. IT is a time where private military corporations are common. Our hero, after suffering a loss while being marine, gets a second chance in one of the top private corporation called ATLAS. And of course, there are terrorists who should be stopped, so that's our job. While the premise is clichéd and all, it was fine by me. What I liked about it was how they kinda targeted USA for current world situation in the game. I'm still looking for a character like Captain Price in COD campaigns, still no luck. But there were some decent characters in this game. One of them is voiced by Kevin Spacey himself, so he was obviously awesome.

Where this game really excels is the pacing of the story and how it presents it. It honestly felt like watching a Hollywood action/war movie. The cutscenes between mission were top notch. Probably the best paced COD I have played so far.

Gameplay: While the gameplay retains the same COD run and gun mechanics and feel, there are some nice new additions. The exo-suit adds a bunch of new movements techniques or other tactical advantages which are fun to use and kinda makes the gameplay feel fresh. I loved jumping high and killing enemies, then burst dodging and repeating, so much fun. There were some new future tech grenades too, which added more fun to the game, BUT I didn't like how you had to cycle through their types considering how fast paced the fights are. Would have been better if you could dedicate keys to different types instead.

There are a lot of different levels in the game too, where you either control a drone, a vehicle or something similar, and they are spread out finely enough that the whole game feels just right. There are no dragged out fights, like I said earlier, great pacing in this game. And of course, COD isn't COD without their signature blockbuster destruction set pieces, there were plenty in this game but my favourite was definitely the destruction of Golden Gate bridge, SO AWESOME.

Graphics: Finally they ditched that old engine and created something new. The game looks totally refreshing, finally feels like a next gen COD. Pretty good textures, lighting, animations etc. For a COD game, this looks beautiful no doubt. Outdoor areas definitely look better than some indoor scenes though maybe because I played Crysis trilogy before it and was spoiled by their awesome indoor lighting.

Sound: The sound effects are great, I guess compliments of a new engine. The destruction, the blasts etc feel punchy and powerful. I was disappointed by the gun sounds though, most of them sounded very similar and well lame.

Overall: I think this is one of the best COD campaign I have played so far. I always enjoy playing COD, and this was no different. They definitely know how to do a campaign.

    Great Game!

I really enjoyed Call of Duty Advanced Warfare! The combat was fun; I especially liked jumping around in the Exo-suits. The scenery and all the futuristic technology is beautiful. The story was a great story about stand up to those who abuse power, take the fight to terrorists, serve your country, do your part to make the world a better place, and make sure to really take care of your friends and family. The only two corrections I'd make is the foul language and the mild gore. Without doubt though I still say Call of Duty Advanced Warfare is a great game; and I hope to see more videogames like it to come. Have a great day, and goooo Call of Duty Advanced Warfare!

While Kevin Spacey may currently be the highest profile celebrity to star in a Call of Duty game (as of 2014), he is not the first to appear in one. Jason Statham was in the first Call of Duty. Kiefer Sutherland and Gary Oldman were in World at War. Modern Warfare 2 had Lance Henriksen, Keith David, Will Arnett, and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson. Black Ops starred Ed Harris, Gary Oldman, Sam Worthington, and O'Shea "Ice Cube" Jackson. Call of the Dead Starred Danny Trejo, Michael Rooker, Robert Englund, and Sarah Michelle Gellar. Modern Warfare 3 featured Idris Elba, Timothy Olyphant, and William Fichtner. Black Ops II starred Michael Keaton, Sam Worthington, Michael Rooker, and featured a cameo from Michelle Rodriguez. Ron Perlman even starred in Black Ops III Zombies.

Jonathan Irons: People don't want freedom. They want boundaries, rules. Protection. From invaders and from themselves. People need a leader who can give them both the support and the constraints to keep chaos at bay. You give them that, and they'll follow... And that's where I come in.
