Our Unwritten Seoul delivered one of the strongest first episodes I've seen in K-dramas. From the very beginning, it pulls you in and never lets go. The pacing is excellent - not rushed, not slow - and the characters feel real and grounded right away.
The emotional depth is striking. You can already feel the weight of Mi Rae's pain, and Park Bo-young's performance is truly outstanding. The way she conveys raw emotions, especially in the crying scene, was incredibly moving. The bond between the two sisters is beautifully portrayed - each with their own struggles, yet connected so deeply. One of the most powerful moments was Mi Ji's realization of what her sister was trying to say, followed by her immediate rush to save her. That scene hit hard.
Visually, the show is stunning. The cinematography perfectly matches the mood and tone, creating a rich atmosphere that draws you even deeper into the story.
Overall, this was a perfectly executed first episode - emotionally gripping, well-acted, and expertly set up. If the rest of the series follows this level of storytelling, it's going to be something truly special.

I can handle slow burns when they mean something. When every lingering glance, every quiet moment, builds toward a deeper truth. Our Unwritten Seoul does this flawlessly. It's not the kind of show that mistakes dragging for depth, or melodrama for meaning. No, this drama earns every second of its runtime with raw, aching humanity.
Park Bo-young is transcendent as the twins-two souls bound by blood but fractured by fate. Every tear, every hesitant smile, every breath she holds feels deliberate, weighted with unspoken history. Tthis show lets its characters breathe-and in that space, we feel everything.
The storytelling is deliberate but never indulgent. Scenes aren't drawn out for "artistic" posturing-they unfold naturally, like memories you can't shake. The dialogue is sparse in the best way, saying more in silence than lesser dramas do in entire monologues. And yes, it's devastating. But not in the cheap, manipulative way. In the way that lingers, like the ghost of a choice you wish you'd made differently.
If you want a drama that respects your time, your heart, and your intelligence, Our Unwritten Seoul is it. No pretentious emptiness-just pure, piercing storytelling. 10/10, a rare gem that actually deserves its emotional weight.

Park Bo young is in the double role of the twins Yoo Mi JI and Yoo Mi Rae. Yoo Mi ji is the healthy, don't hesitate for nothing sister while Yoo Mi Rae born unhealthy but smart and unsecure. Besisdes the differences between then both were very close and frequently swap roles to help each other in the infancy.
Yoo Mi Ji is clearly the main character in this story with a great heart triyng to help everybody sacrificing his own personal life.
Park Bo young has the oportunity in this series to show all her talent in the role of the twin sisters with very different personalities. I think the sucess of the series fall in her sholders. A great performance erases any cliches in the story.
Episodes 3 - 6: Special mention to Lee Jae In (Mi Jin and Mi Rae teen) and Park Yoon Ho (Ho Su teen). Park Bo young, for no surprise, is exceeding in the role.
Episodes 7 - 12: In my country they name this kind of series teletears, because you will certainly cry watching and this drama is the perfect exemple for the term. The story could be called cliche but with a superb acting and a well writing story this series was worth watching and in the end was really a life's lesson.

One of the best first episodes of a K-drama I've ever watched. Honestly, no story has hooked me right from the first minute like this one, except Flower of Evil (thriller genre). I'm saying this to show just how amazing this drama is.
Park Bo Young's acting is outstanding in portraying the twin characters. You can really see that she's able to bring out two totally different personalities, making it seem like two different actors are playing the roles. She is so talented Big props to her.
The plot isn't like your usual thriller or rom-com dramas. It's more about the ups and downs of life that the twins go through together.
Most Korean dramas focus on love, thrillers, or action, but i am glad this one is different. This drama gives me a sense of calm, a dose of real life, and motivation to face reality. Such an inspiring story.
Anyway, to me, Episode 1 is one of the best if not the best episodes ever made, ever. The plot, pace, emotion, acting, you name it.. its just beautifully done. Go watch this drama and I'm 100% sure you'll feel the same excitement just like I did.

Finally a Korean drama that resolves misunderstandings in a mature manner without the issue being dragged out interminably.
I've been watching k dramas for years now and sometimes find it frustrating how the characters refuse to address serious issues.
There hasn't been a single boring moment in the first 6 episodes and the entire cast is stellar.
Park Boyoung and Park Jinyoung always deliver and Ryu Kyungsoo is really adorable.
The mothers are frustrating but with good reason and are highly relatable.
This drama's store will appeal to young adults struggling in life as well as older people who've survived the struggle.
Can't wait for the next episodes.
