I've seen it coming for months, but seeing it through is even worse. This show is stained in every corner with GenAI, poor execution, and lack of care.
Stiff animation, unnatural dialogue, scene cuts that make no sense, poorly rendered shots, poor rigging and clipping animation... The show has everything but the "movie level animation" we were promised by the creator, Iginio Straffi.
Whoever was the supervisor for this project did not care at all about quality, continuity, or anything that makes a good show, really.
Mistakes that not even amateur animators would commit were made, and absolutely no care or commitment from the people involved. This show feels more than ever like a cash grab and a failed attempt to make bank out of fans who were rooting for them to make a comeback with all the elements we loved from the original.
Plot-wise, for a show called "Winx Club" it often feels like the Winx Club girls are forgotten in favour of giving protagonism to a character nobody cares about and nobody asked for: Damian. A new character introduced in this reboot who only serves to take away attention from the girls, who should be the main focus.
People who go soft on this: you need better standards. I know we come from around 15 years of mediocrity in the Winx franchise, but this is not a win; this is a new low, and y'all need to wake up and see it. Not all content is good content. I love Winx too, it's the franchise that made me start drawing, made me passionate about animation and fashion. It got me through art school and even got me gigs at animation studios, but this is NOT a good show. Stop saying we shouldn't compare it, because that's the point of making a reboot instead of a new thing: having the old nostalgic fans back. Making bank from the nostalgia of people who crave the feeling the original show made us feel. Y'all should strive for better.
And to Rainbow: DO BETTER. You are letting everyone down, again and again, and you never learn. Money has rotten you. And you are completely disconnected from your fanbase and the magic the original show carried with it. You don't know what made your show good in the first place, and it shows.
Magic shines by absence.

Winx Club The Magic is Back (lie) is a shame to the original series. Awful animation, terrible writing, a shame to what was created 25 years ago. The new team definitely didn't know what Winx represented back then. It's look like they choose to go inspired by other actual cartoons (like miraculous) instead of take as inspiration their OWN work. Plus the usage of AI, that's a big NO.
If u like Winx Club, go watch the original series, World of Winx, or even Fate is better. But definitely not this thing!

Where to begin. Fans of this series spotted even before the show's release that AI had been used to geneate concept art for characters/sets and scripts. AI is harmful to artists and the environment. Perhaps as a result of the presence of this AI, the show is aggressively generic and middle of the road. The pacing is bizarre; they seem to be trying to fit several season's worth of material into the first 13 episodes. They do this by telling you a lot of what is going on, instead of showing the audience, which makes the show feel more like a student project than the result of experienced tv show producers. Many plot points are introduced, but never eventuate into anything. It seems like a more coherent story could have been told if some of this 'noise' was filtered out. There are bountiful plot holes and animation errors. For a show set in a magical school, we spend a suprising amount of time outside of the school in a barn.
The plot revolves around a mary sue central character who will find a way to make everyone else's plot beats all about her. The original show had its own flaws, but we quite often were willing to forgive these because the visuals were stunning. But the characters in this show were weirdly ugly and looked like they were amalgamated from a bunch of different 3D animated tv shows. There is really nothing redeembale here or worthy of your time to watch. The characters are strangely chipper all the time, like they aren't allowed to feel real emotions. There is a surprising lack of world building for a so-called magical dimension. There are no moments to breathe. To appreciate this new magical environment, so we never understand why this is a place worth defending and spending time in. The whole thing reeks of a troubled production process.
The original show was so loved and this reboot was marketed as a love letter to Winx and its fans. Its very clear to me now that this was a cash grab from a failing studio clinging desperately to their only property making any kind of money.
Other positive reviews for this show appear to be fake/AI generated. I would be wary of them.

We waited 5 years for this.. the story is all over the place, the pacing in ep 1-2 is terrible, and episode 13 feels more like a season finale when infact its the middle of the season.. so why is that? The animation is really choppy, fights are mostly very slow, the character designs are.. questionable (which is not surprising considering they used ai in the concept arts.) this is definitely NOT movie quality as iginio straffi stated, the only positive things that i can highlight is that the transformation sequences look pretty nicely animated (atleast compared to literally everything else) and that elisa is back, but everything else? Eh.. the winx franchise keeps getting milked like a cow and i guess it wont ever get better.
Very disjointed, no continuity between an scenes
The jokes are bad even for a kids show
The story is rushed, if they wanted more time they could have sped up the action scenes
Musa, Aisha, Tecna who?
Trix feels less of a unit and more Stormy and Darcy being Icy's goons.
I wouldnt care what the animation looked like if the story was more thought out.
