The Sin Seer

I kept feeling the script was a collection of ideas for a script that hurriedly got forwarded as a movie. Like writing a letter and not proof- reading it. I could see some great potential in the story and at times I started to get interested then the script meandered off or came to a dead end. The actors were certainly capable of doing it better but the director seemed to know more about what was going on - in his own mind - but failed to tell the story with his chosen medium. Maybe writing and directing the same movie can get in the way of completeness of the film. Not being from US of A I was unsure of the heavy bias of black people in the scenes - is this the norm for that part of the world - are things really that segregated. Not recommended - even if it's free...

First off, let me say to the person who posted the comments about afro Americans and the Oscars,IMDb is about reviewing movies,not about slandering, black actors and ranting. Your post has nothing to do with this film which is really a good movie.The story is concise the flow is steady and the acting is up to par.The whole cast did a splendid job in their roles and Isaiah Washington was spot on. Tell me, what did Cuba Gooding Jr. And Wesley Snipes have to do with this film? Absolutely nothing. What did the Oscars have to with film? Absolutely nothing. I thinks its in really poor taste to slander people who professions are to entertain, so that we can review them about their work, nothing more. Anyway to those that wanna read a review about the movie, I loved this movie, it was very intriguing. Anyone who knows the Lord, will truly appreciate this film.

I definitely enjoyed watching this film again a few months back. I know I remember seeing some years ago but forgot how it went. Seeing and observing the intelligence of Lisa Arrindell gave me chills!!!! Ouuu yess, I love the way she express those dark type characters in suspenseful projects.. A very good watch and I enjoyed Isaiah's character also.

All of the cast was definitely a perfect edition in this movie which made it a classic in my eyes.... Especially as a fan of Lisa's work when she is the lead and able to express those dark/power energy moments.. Definitely a great quality about her talent! I recommend y'all to check this movie out whenever you have the free time and show maximum love to Ms. Lisa Arrindell. Loll I am so in love with her and have the biggest crush on her!

I expected more from Isaiah Washington. This review is in no way a disparagement towards him, it wasn't his choice to be casted alongside an overly emotional actress. The quality of the overly dramatic performance of his counterpart is what completely ruined the movie. It may have been a good movie, but it was as if they intended to make it with an other side of the tracks kind of undertone; a love story of a mysterious clairvoyant and a troubled, complicated convict. No and no. None of that computed. Lisa Anderson's performance was a disappointment and a reason to not even watch this film. She may be pretty, but she is way too much. Even for a clairvoyant, way, way too much. I give it a 3/10 because there are more than likely other films that are worse than this one, but not many.
