In Monster's Hands

What a stellar job the Actors, Director and Darren have done in recreating this gruesome case with lots of drama. It's difficult to imagine how any "Monster" could be so brutal to this sweet elderly couple. It makes you think twice about having both home security and home protection at any stage of life especially living alone and/or being a Homeowner. One just never knows who is lurking around the corner! Elderly people have connections with caregivers, family, friends or associates that could be detrimental to them. Being a Homicide victim's wife myself, it definitely has shed a new light to me on the evil world we live in. I'm so glad this case was solved! Kudos to all that were involved in this film.

I have followed this short film from the beginning. Great story of diligent and persistent police work that took years to figure out and close the case. It makes you appreciate how these detectives keep digging to find truth and bring closure to families. This film also shows what goes on behind the scenes in the life of officers who are dedicated to there profession. This short film is a great watch and hope to see more in the future..This would be a great look into further short stories or mini series on these particular detective storylines. I thought the cast was good and did a good job of telling story.

I have watched (and read) a lot of true crime and this one really hit me hard! Seeing what made this detective decide to become a police officer genuinely broke my heart. The cast and crew did an amazing job and really brought this crime to life. I was riveted and could not take my eyes off the screen. The actress who portrayed Hazel was absolutely phenomenal. The actor who portrayed the monster felt so very real. It brought to life the horror this elderly couple endured. Watching this short and knowing that it is based on a true crime opens your eyes to the pure evil a detective must encounter and how it must affect their entire family. Did Detective Burch catch the monster? Was the elderly lady at the end his next victim? I have to know what happens next!

In Monster's Hands is a real life story about a horrendous crime. It's real police work and processes. One thing my wife and I quickly realized is that there's much more to police work than just looking at the scene and taking fingerprints. From early in the film we felt an emotional connection with officer Burch. In Monster's Hands portrays the frustration and emotion of an officer who really cares about people and the importance of a loving family. It can't be an easy job. Especially when there isn't much in the way of clues. In fact only one tiny clue that we remember. I'm anxious to see how this case plays out.

This movie captivated me from the very beginning. It is very well written and the short movie left me wanting to see more. It's based on an actual crime, this is what really drew me in, making me want to know the entire story.

The actors were all incredible, it was a very talented group. I was pulled in from the very beginning. Then they go through the motions of collecting evidence and I just felt more invested in finding out exactly what happened and how. The actor who played Hazel did an excellent job. She was so believable.

This was a well thought out script for a true crime and it just left me wanting to see the final outcome.
