The Lead Actress's Acting Is Just Plain Awful
The set, the sound effects-everything is pretty rough. But it's a low-budget drama, so I get it. I didn't expect high production quality, and honestly, I don't mind. Despite the obvious limitations, I'm still enjoying the show. The story is engaging enough to keep me watching.
But the lead actress? She's ruining it.
Her acting is beyond terrible. Like, please, please, PLEASE practice. She delivers her lines with zero emotion, as if she's just reading from a script without even understanding what she's saying. Whether her character is supposed to be heartbroken, or in shock, it all comes out in the same dull, lifeless tone. It's painful to watch. She doesn't just lack emotional depth-she completely fails to make her character feel real. It's like she doesn't care about her role at all.
And yet, I'm giving this drama a 2 instead of a 1. Why? Because despite its flaws, the story at least tries to be different. It doesn't rely on the same overused this type of drama clichés, even though it has zero medical accuracy. The writers clearly wanted to tell a unique story, and I respect that effort.
But seriously, if the lead actress had even half-decent acting skills, this drama could have been so much better.

Noah Fearnley is full of talent, and surprises. I never imagined him portraying a bag guy like Richard Carl. I was shocked at the first watch, I was not ready for his behavior with the sweet Samantha (wonderful Candace Mirzga).
I had to watch 2 times to realize how Richard actually suffers for his mother. Ada (amazing Crystal Saint John) is the devil with an Angelic face.
Admittedly, it was hard to watch.
But, I rate 10/10 for Noah's magisterial performance, because portraying Richard seemed to be hard for him too.
The lead actresses Candace and Crystal, give us some chills, and show the different sides of Richard's tortured personality.
Great Job Guys.

I enjoy Noah Fearnley as an actor, so I decided to watch this one. That was a mistake. While I guess he acts the part of a psychotic abuser well enough, it didn't make it any more enjoyable to watch. There is not one uplifting (nor even normal) scene in the entire runtime.
The storyline is hoaky, the medical science ridiculous. There really was no need to even have other cast members because Fearnley's character never really has any interaction WITH them....he spends the entire movie talking AT them....might as well just use cardboard cutouts on the set.
I get that Fearnley might want to do roles beyond romantic protagonist, but, that only helps your career if people actually want to watch it.
