Brady Nelson's "Outrage" is a timely and unsettling display of manipulation. This political thriller deals with controlling access to information and the stream of digital media to force public opinion.

Maclevoy (played by Paul Stuart) really set the tone with an unnerving phone call from a mysterious and powerful man. I expected controlled chaos from this psychopath, and hot damn did he deliver! Stuart's performance kept me unsettled and intrigued. I love a good villain.

The use of AI images for the competing politicians, and AI generated voices was interesting though it did take me out of the story.

Lastly, I loved how the editing played into the storytelling. It sucked me into the digital narrative on Kevin's computer screen, only to snap me back to reality. Suddenly the people are real and the stakes are life ruining.

If you're looking for a quick 90-minute watch, that backdrops current events, Outrage is worth the watch!

This is a solid political drama-thriller that takes a backroom look at the media environment today where outrage is manipulated and manufactured by just a tweet or post and people's lives and careers are just collateral damage. The smart script takes the lead character Kevin down a shadowy journey of scandal, speculation, and disinformation as his moral conscience begins to tug at him. A mysterious boss directs the proceedings and his bully henchman helps enforce it on Kevin and Jesse, another gig worker drone caught between their morals and a paycheck. As information and hearsay come in, and are traded by texts and emails, tension builds and paranoia heightens as the characters lose control of the narrative. The sterile, cluttered office space, lit by antiseptic, artificial lights, is the perfect setting for the story's moral shadings and the characters coming to terms with their own boundaries. This movie will leave you thinking about today's media landscape and maybe questioning that next post giving you a visceral reaction.

It has the sharp, calculating feel of House of Cards or The Ides of March - full of tension, twists, and questions about truth, media, and power. A smart, well-acted, and deeply unsettling watch. Outrage is a sharp political thriller with great performances and House of Cards vibes. Tense, timely, and thought-provoking-this one sticks with you long after it ends. I will also compliment the cinematography. Loved the style.

This political thriller is a look at some of those people who are behind the scenes trying to generate a narrative of a political situation. You can tell the director wanted to show how easily a specific narrative can be conceived and generated by motivated party members for their specific ideology and political bent. A well made thriller with unique graphic layovers of text and communications from characters to show the impersonal and indifference in motivations within communication. Its a great way to show the characters in their personal lives vs their career positions. Definitely a watch for those intriguing with politics.
