Relentless

Sad to see that important stories are often made into worthless movies. This one does not raise any emotions or keep a viewer glued to the screen. The actors seem to be indifferent or are merely disinterested participants.

For a movie based on true events, this is the worst I have seen. 'Traffik' dealing with the same subject is a much better movie.

Relentless is about a mother, Holly (Lauren Shaw), that needs to save her daughter Ally (Sydney Sweeney) from human traffickers / drug cartels who have kidnapped her in El Salvador and want to sell her to the prostitution ring.

It's a very powerful thriller, so real and captivating, you can feel what the characters feel 'cuz it's all happening all around the world in this precise moment. It deals also with the Train of Death from Mexico to USA, the road of thousands of migrants each months. So it ain't just a fictionalyzed movie, it's a dramatized semi-documentary.

All the actors does really well, and this is clearly one of the first big roles of Sydney before Euphoria: she shows us that she's capable of doing every range of roles.

So if you want to learn more about human trafficking and the problems of the south border and Mexico's roads of migrants, this is the right movie for you!

This is a sleeper of a movie. With heros that have to apparent motive other than something to break the boredom. Real scumbag bad guys who all get it in the end. Keeps you on your seat edge most of the time. Some "Why did they do that", but for the most part easy to follow. A good watch all in all.

Relentless had me on the edge of my seat with its unsuspecting twists & turns! A must-see suspenseful thriller, woven with wit & comic relief by actor David Castro who plays the leading male role brilliantly!

My title says what I felt about this little known gem of a film. A few dollars means the difference between life and death. There is little difference between the methods of the corrupt cops, and the honest ones. They are equally brutal. The people try to leave that land by the trainload, to come to the USA, where life is better. Seen on Tubi, the free streaming site, which now has live TV.
