Lucy Hale, who I discovered in "The Hating Game", is absolutely lovely...but plays the hot mess Jane in this film. Together with Nat Wolff, who plays Will, they make up the romantic duo which starts as a simple wedding guest hook-up...but quickly and somewhat awkwardly morphs into the potential for more.

These two are well suited for one another, Hale and Wolff, with excellent chemistry. The story is unusual for a romantic comedy, in fact it tells itself rather inside out. We learn about all of their past failed relationships...the why you wouldn't want to be in a relationship with either one, but at some point you start pulling for these two.

I am not going to say this is the most romantic film, but I think young people today might identify with their plight. While not on my recommendation list, I didn't hate it. I enjoy some of the dialogue and the idea of being brutally honest from the start.

I kept reading how this was a romcom, but it's definitely missing the comedy part.

Lucy Hale is great, Nat Wolff was ok, the soundtrack was horrible. I think the movie would have so much more potential but the soundtrack was one of the things that kind of killed it and made it quite boring.

It's always this mellow music with no exciting parts.

In my opinion the movie consisted of way too many slow scenes and too little funny scenes to lift the mood. I also don't get how they cast all these beautiful women as his ex-partners and these, well, not as attractive men for her. She had zero chemistry with any of them.

The chemistry between the main characters was also not the greatest. I was so looking forward to this movie but am pretty disappointed.

The movie has a heart but it would have worked if they had made the story a little better. Not some of the trash that Netflix pumps regularly. But the story becomes more unbelievable as the time goes on. I can handle some improbable things but it becomes ridiculous if overdone. They spend the whole movie talking with each other. The chemistry between them is somewhat lacking. The movie rests solely on the two leads which makes the chemistry between them everything. This is good for a casual watch. But can't recommend it to anyone who is not a rom-com fanatic.

Jane (Lucy Hale) and Will (Nat Wolff) are strangers and guests at a wedding. She almost has drunken sex with him before he stops her. They start to talk about their past relationships.

My initial superficial take is that Will needs to be hunkier. It would help especially since his character pulls so many beautiful women. After that initial thought, my next hot take is that this is trying to be Before Sunrise. Again, this would benefit from an Ethan Hawke like actor. The main difference is the many flashbacks. I both like them and have issues with them. I would like Will to have fewer women and concentrate on setting up the final reveal. Juliet should be his first 'girlfriend' story and then the last flashback should be a repeat of the same story with the truth revealed. At the end of the day, I really like the attempt even if it's not completely successful.

This is one of my favorite types of movies. Basically it's the story f two people over roughly a 24-hour period. While attending a friend's wedding in the Hamptons, Jane (Lucy Hale) and Will (Nat Wolff) hook up. They're drained to each other and end up in a coat closet where they passionately rip each other's clothes off, about to do the deed. In a lot of films, this is where a torrid love affair would begin. But not here.

Will abruptly stops their actions before they get out of hand because it just doesn't feel right to him. (Pretty rare for a guy, I must admit). Instead of them getting it on, the couple take turns revealing all the messy affairs they've encountered over the years. At several points while one of them is confessing in great detail, the other appears in the scene, witnessing it first hand. It's a clever little trick that makes the film that much more intriguing.

Their adventures take them to several locations as they open up to each other. Before you know it, it's dawn. Are they any closer to giving into their passion? You'll just have to watch this lovey indie film and find out for yourself.

I thought Hale and Wolff had great chemistry. I don't recall seeing either one in anything before, but they're so likable, you can't help but root for them. The film was well written and the cinematography was quite good as well. Just another one of those films that deserve more exposure.

So this is a movie about a couple of walking red flags doing a whole bunch of red flagging and eventually winning a happy ending.

I hate it.

The supermarket musical score is as terrible as it is entirely fitting.

It wants to be a movie about redemption and learning from mistakes with a heartwarming there's-someone-for-everyone outcome but it isn't. What it is instead is an exercise in excusing terrible behaviour, a commitment deficit, emotional gaslighting and a complete lack of personal accountability.

None of the characters are likeable and are portrayed with a by-the-numbers cast. Overall I just hated that these people got a chance of happiness after being such terrible people for all of their adult lives.

In director Peter Hutchings' pretentious romance flick "Which Brings Me To You" Nat Wolff (terrific actor - wasted here) & Lucy Hale (meh) meet at a wedding where he defers having sex til after they've shared long, competitive accounts of their love-lives (only Keith Bunin knows why (or Steve Almond & Julianna Baggott on whose novel he based this screenplay on)). It gets tedious fast, and ends up dragging excrutiatingly - mainly due to the dislikeableness of the characters, particularly Hale's. Any appeal it could have would rely on maintaining interest in the two leads... who except to themselves (and apparently each other) are not interesting at all. A turd. Flush it away.

You know, I'm sharing my first ever review here because it felt a crime this movie didn't have any and it just hit me so hard.

Not sure, either, if others will relate as well but it just hit home so hard to a relationship of the greatest love I've had that fell through due to heavy past and then on it's way to being together despite it all because love can conquer all (if you choose it).

Kind of felt very relatable. A different take on a story told in so many times and in so many ways. It felt fresh, it felt so heartbreakingly true. I felt the character's pain as my own. I felt their hope of finding the right piece of broken to make a whole as my own.

I get that this review is not some critical acclaim but it struck a chord. If you are a fan of long, deep conversations with loved ones (or someone that could be one), give it a shot. It might suprise you and you can find some of your own pain (and hope) in it.

Romantic melodrama '' which brings me to you '' is a movie based on a book by the same title and it tells the story of two people who meet at a wedding and share their romantic experiences so far.

And even though the concept is interesting, the movie doesn't deliver. Sure, it is a nice story to read, but not to watch, as the past stories ended up being more interesting than the main one. Especially since the main couple didn't have any chemistry or any moments to support their big and instant connection that lead them to a romance of a day.

The performances, on the other hand, were decent enough.

Someone described this movie as tedious, that is the perfect word to describe this movie. It's also boring, with elevator music playing throughout. Then again, what movie after 2019 isn't tedious and bland? Guess we need a crayon box of partners in this new world to be valid. Makes you feel nothing, you just hope for it to be over. Ended up as background noise while I did crafts. Worse than a Woody Allen movie. Nothing has soul anymore and the characters are ugh. Hopefully movies can be made by worthy people again someday. I would have thought humanity being locked up like rats, would have ignited creativity but all it did was ruin everything, all movies, all food, all acting.

The bones are there, ready to be reaped of a ghost, yet the spectre is hazy.

I liked the plot. The chemistry was a little lacking, though the more poignant moments showed an abundance-so much so that I suspect some of the writing played a significant role in dampening the spark between the characters.

The characters as individuals and the way they related to each others shortcomings highlighted the best part of the movie. We all suffer the fear of rejection, of being unable and afraid of sharing our most horrendous selves, but the way they connected and sympathised inspires hope.

Ultimately, as a movie, a form of entertainment, it was, unfortunately, subpar. Still, I think it worth viewing.

This story is portrayed like a theater play. I really enjoyed the unique scenes and the way the characters flashed back in their memories together. The characters were believable and I think that the leads have great chemistry. I agree with a previous post that says this is relatable for today's late twenties crowd. It's refreshing to see a story that is honest. To see characters that are starting to own their own flaws. It's good to see two people who have gone through a lot try to work through their stuff together- without the commitment to forever that rom coms usually like to throw together. I also liked the music too. It held the line between serious and vulnerable and overwhelming like the many parts of the movie. I would recommend this movie AND I'd watch it again.

There's just no romance in these romance movies lately. Everything is dealing with sex almost immediately. I loved these actors in other movies and figured this would be a good movie too but it's really slow and not something you can really watch with friends. It wasn't horrible and the storyline was decent But I definitely wish there was more romance instead of 10 different sex scenes in one way or another. Think it's tiring not knowing what I can watch with a friend or watch with a family member or something without it turning into something raunchy. Do better Hollywood. This movie could have been better.

This is a movie about two totally toxic people who meet at a wedding and talk all day and into the next day sharing their past romantic failures. The way they treat people is atrocious. I gave a few stars for Lucy Hale. She is an interesting, exciting actress. I hope she realizes that this was a huge mistake.

The male lead is irredeemable. The guy is unattractive and unathletic with bad hair. His legs are unstable. They showed him running in one scene, and it looked as if his knees were going to dislocate. Way back in the day, the leading man was tall dark and handsome. This guy is spindly and wimpy. The movie just doesn't make sense that this guy seems to have women throwing themselves at him. I just can't buy it.
