Although another rehash of the 'baking' motif, the storyline of a culinary ingredient mystery was generally cute and engaging, serving as the springboard to the romance of the leads.

I think Christopher Russell fits the image profile for a Hallmark male lead better than 90% of other actors that are used in these films, so why script him to be sort of a bumbling, non-confident person? It certainly doesn't make sense if he is supposedly a successful PR consultant to major corporations. I assume Hallmark movies are crafted to appeal to women, but do women really find appeal in men who are casted to be neither confident nor competent on the screen? It detracts significantly from the enjoyment of the movie.

I have watched hallmark movies and i generally find them entertaining. Not this one.

Basically, the writers made the girl strong and independent to the point that she does not need a man.

But then the writers need to create a regular love story so they insert a man to the story, who is super passive and having no character.

In a regular love story there is femininity and masculinity but Christmas, Love and Fudge 2024 has only femininity.

The writers should have just deleted the man and inserted another female character for goodness sake.

I am not sure if its the writers or maybe the execution (director) who is at fault here, but i give this a 1 out of 10 rating.
