The Backstreet Boys Are Trying to Get In on the "It's Gonna Be May" Trend
Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, A.J. McLean, Kevin Scott Richardson, and Backstreet Boys
Remember that whole "It's Gonna be May" meme trend? How could you forget, seeing as it just happened yesterday. People all over the Internet got a giant kick out of posting different versions of a picture, playing on the lyrics from the 'N Sync song "It's Gonna Be Me." You know, this one: Well, it turns out that the Backstreet Boys are feeling a little left out. They want fans to know that they exist too, and they posted this Tweet to try and get in on all the fun.  nullIt's sweet that Bsb got jealous of all the attention that 'N Sync is getting, but we're going to call this as a too-little, too-late situation. A day late and a dollar short. Day-old news. How many more ways...

David Oyelowo in Selma: Uma Luta Pela Igualdade (2014)
Behold the NAACP Image Awards, where somehow Antoine Fuqua did a better job directing "The Equalizer" than Ava DuVernay on Best Picture winner "Selma" or Gina Prince-Bythewood on "Beyond the Lights." First Trailer For Lifetime’s Stephen King Adaptation Big Driver
This fall, Lifetime will take an uncharacteristic trip into horror lit with Big Driver, an adaptation of Stephen King’s same-named short story from his 2010 collection Full Dark, No Stars. Maria Bello stars in the grim and brutal pic, about an author who is brutally raped and assaulted by a truck driver, only to survive and return seeking vengeance.

The project is an unusual one for Lifetime, though the network has been branching out in recent years with increasingly dramatic original series like Witches of East End and The Lottery. Big Driver is also, like many of Lifetime’s programs, a tale of female empowerment led by a particularly steely protagonist.

Now, the suitably dark first trailer for the movie, which also stars Olympia Dukakis, Joan Gett, Ann Dowd and Will Harris, has arrived online. Check it out below, along with the official synopsis for the adaptation.

From a story by Stephen King,...

Allison Janney, Orange Is The New Black And Fargo Among Winners At 2014 Critics’ Choice Television Awards
The first major awards ceremony honoring this past year’s accomplishments on the small screen took place last night as Cedric the Entertainer hosted the 2014 Critics’ Choice Television Awards from the Beverly Hilton. I’ve always preferred the Critics’ Choice Awards to the Emmys, just because my views tend to line up more with the members of the Broadcast Television Journalists Association. This year was no different, as a number of highly deserving actors, actresses and shows were honored.

Allison Janney was the clear winner last night, taking home two Critics’ Choice TV Awards. The actress won Best Guest Performer in a Drama Series for her devastating work on Showtime’s Masters of Sex and also tied with Orange is the New Black actress Kate Mulgrew for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance as the title character on CBS’s Mom.
