Gift-wrapping shop owner Tina Mitchell is in charge of planning this year's Christmas gala, which has been held in the Alford House for decades. She meets Michael Alonzo, and there is an immediate attraction between them. However, Tina is still scarred from a past relationship and declines Michael's advances. Then, Tina finds out that the Alford House estate has been sold. This means the gala cannot take place there, even though Christmas is approaching, and most of the planning has already been done. Making matters worse, Michael owns the company that sold the estate. Tina confronts Michael, who agrees to help her save the Alford House so the gala can be held.
