A reflection on the way we experience our emotions in today's hyper-connected world. Despite appearances, the film is not lacking in embodiment and emotion. You may end up in tears...
Although "Farewell Émile" is a sequel to the director's previous short film, the story stands on its own. But if you had seen "Before Tim", you may recognize some of the actors and characters. And this adds extra depth to this young man's story, Tim, faced with both grief and a broken love affair.
Haunted by VHS footage of his parents, it's through digital memories and Instagram stories that he must now attempt to live his own life.

The emotion is the main character of this short film about comunication, love, memories and the technology dominating each aspect of life.
A film about a young man, enloved at whole, who becomes witness of the fall of his world. A beautiful film about what real matters, served by inspired performances of young main actors and by aspects of comunication , from phone to sites , voices and fragments of memories , happiness, the joy of childhood, the last days of father and a Jamaican hat, the care of mother and Emile as axis of a sort of presumed stability and heart of vulnerability.
Difficult ( and unfair) to define this ambitious short film .
