Facepalm, The Movie

After watching the trailer for The Cursed Tapes, I had optimism. I still would like to see the movie that the trailer pretends to represent, because The Cursed Tapes sure isn't it. Slow, cheap and preposterous, this film is everything that is wrong with indie horror today. The acting is wooden and stiff from all involved, and the cast certainly is not helped by the complete mess of a script. We are two thirds of way in before there are any explanations, and what is provided is lame in every possible way. This movie also does the unthinkable: it takes a creepily effective visual and hits over the head with it until it becomes parody. I cannot think of a single positive thing to say about The Cursed Tapes. It is mercifully short but seems to drag on for hours. Avoid this like trainwreck it is.
