Great.

Great animation and solid storyline with meaningful themes, but the film leans too heavily on non-stop action. While the pace keeps things exciting, it leaves little room for character development or emotional moments to truly land. The lack of humor also makes the tone feel overly serious at times, especially for an animated film. It's visually impressive and well-crafted, but a bit more balance between intensity and light-heartedness would've made it more enjoyable. Worth a watch, but not very memorable. The secret characters reveal is underwhelming and didn't live up to fans expectations .It's lacked "wow"Factor.

A Visual Triumph with Room for Deeper Impact

It's truly a proud moment when a local animated film like Ejen Ali The Movie 2 premieres alongside international titles (if you notice) and still commands strong attention from the crowd. For those of us who grew up in a time when Malaysian animation barely had a presence in cinemas, this milestone feels monumental. WAU Animation has once again proven that Malaysian studios can deliver world-class quality.

Visually, the film is a stunner. The animation is smoother than ever, with detailed lighting, expressive motion, and dynamic cinematography. There's an evident step-up in production values, and it shows in every frame. (I am super excited even from the first raining scene!)

And the highlight for me? The S. A. T. R. I. A. suit.

I absolutely loved every moment involving the new suit. The design is not only sleek and modern, but also carries subtle cultural elements that make it uniquely Malaysian. But beyond the looks: it's the powers! Each core ability of the suit brings a new level of excitement to the screen. Watching Ali master these features one by one is thrilling and satisfying, especially for longtime fans who've followed his journey since the early days.

Story-wise, the film builds on Ali's growth as a hero, diving into themes of responsibility, leadership, and internal conflict. The direction is commendable, but I personally felt there were some missed emotional opportunities that could have elevated the narrative.

A few emotional moments, meant to deliver an impact but arrived too suddenly, with minimal buildup. One emotional scene in particular feels a bit forced and out of place, which slightly weakens its overall effect.

Additionally, a core friendship-themed song is introduced early in the film, but its placement feels underutilized. Had it been used during the film's climactic emotional moments, it would've amplified the feeling the story wanted us to feel.

This stands in contrast to Ejen Ali The Movie 1, where the placement of "Kita Jaga Kita" was completely unexpected, perfectly timed, and injected emotional excitement - giving the scene an unforgettable weight. (Not to mention the hilarious iconic mamak maju scene + soundtrack)

When it comes to the villain, EATM2's antagonist feels more distant and less evil. While the threat is real, it lacks the raw emotional connection and performance weight we saw in Niki from the first movie. Niki's struggle, pain, and motives were deeply felt, her presence lingered long after the credits. The new villain here is intriguing but doesn't leave quite the same mark.

That said, the soundtrack overall is still solid, especially "Hanya Kamu." While it may not be as instantly iconic as previous themes, it carries emotional maturity and becomes more impactful with repeated listens. (I must admit watching the trailer repeatedly hyped me up and I was expecting Bangkit! Echoes as Ali regain his spirit to win the battle once more) Better placement within key moments would've made a huge impact! Both to the story and to the song!

Not to mention some of the key figure we all have been waiting for years, could've carry more weight and significant to his presence.

In structure, EATM2 vibes feels more like a continuation of the series rather than a tightly-contained cinematic arc.

Conclusion

Ejen Ali The Movie 2 is a proud achievement in Malaysian animation, visually masterful, technically solid, and packed with action. And A MUST WATCH for every Malaysian! Will I watch it second time? YES! Third time?? Still huge YES!!

While it doesn't always hit the emotional highs of its predecessor, (EATM 1 sets the standard really high I still can't move on) it still offers an entertaining and meaningful experience, especially for those who've followed Ali's journey. (Since day 1! Now Im 35 years old)

From one the biggest fan of Ejen Ali, Thank you WAU for all of your great and hardwork!! May the production thrive for years to come and may this movie hit box office and gain its spot at the top tier.

Final rating: 8.5/10.

impressive, with superb animation but.....

Ejen Ali: The Movie 2 is visually impressive, with superb animation and action scenes. However, I personally feel that the first movie was better overall. This sequel lacks the emotional depth and connection, especially when it comes to the theme of friendship - it just doesn't hit as hard as the first film.

One major missed opportunity was not using M. Nasir's soundtrack during the scene where Ali stands alone and fights. That moment could have been much more powerful with the right music.

Introducing too many new characters wasn't the best move. I would have preferred the movie focused more on characters from Seasons 1 to 3 and movie 1 since audiences are already familiar with their personalities and backgrounds.

Outstanding Masterpiece💯

The storyline quite complex and dark so had to rewatch many times to digest. Graphic and animation got improvement than before. The movement and emotion for every characters looks smooth and realistic. Audio quality will be top notch.

Wau never stop deliver emotional scenes for fans. Every characters got balanced screentime this time. My feelings were like rollercoaster because the plot twist were too surprising. Recommended to watch the previous series with movie to understand the second movie. I love how this movie portray value of friendship.

Overall, I felt pure goosebumps and dont forget to watch 2 credit scenes at the end.

Definitely 10/10

As a Malaysian, I'm incredibly proud of this film. Having followed the Ejen Ali TV series from the start, I always believed it had the potential to evolve into something even more exciting-and this sequel absolutely delivers. The overall quality, from animation to storytelling, is top-notch and truly world-class. It's inspiring to see local talent producing content at this level, proving we can stand alongside international productions. I'm really looking forward to Season 4 of the series and will definitely be watching the next movie sequel when it drops. Kudos to the team for raising the bar once again!

Ejen Ali The Movie 2 - Misi: Satria: A Massive Win for Malaysian Animation

Ejen Ali's second cinematic mission truly hits the mark. The animation is slick, expressive, and on par with international productions-every scene feels alive, every moment well-crafted. There's a noticeable step-up in both visuals and sound design, making it an immersive watch from start to finish.

The plot goes deeper and darker this time, with twists that genuinely caught me off guard. It's not just action-packed-it's emotional, thoughtful, and full of heart. The characters feel more balanced and developed, and the values of teamwork and friendship shine through without being forced.

Whether you're a long-time fan or just getting into the series, this movie delivers a solid punch of nostalgia, action, and national pride. And yes-stay until the very end for the credit scenes. You won't regret it.

From A Father's Eyes: Why Ejen Ali Is More Than Just a Kid's Show

From A Father's Eyes: Why Ejen Ali Is More Than Just a Kid's Show

By Harman - Father, Fan, and MATA Operative in Spirit

When I first sat down to watch Ejen Ali with my kids, I expected the usual: some laughs, some action, and a predictable storyline wrapped in cute animations. What I got instead... was an adult meal - served hot to a hungry man.

This Isn't Just Animation - It's Art with Soul

Ejen Ali isn't just flashy visuals and fast-paced missions. It's a layered world built on emotional stakes, internal conflict, and moral dilemmas that hit close to home - even for a grown man juggling work, family, and purpose. My kids came for the action. I stayed for the truth.

Real Characters, Real Arcs

Ali isn't your typical overpowered hero. He's vulnerable, confused, and constantly questioning the system he works for. Alicia isn't a sidekick - she's her own leader. Rizwan, Khai, even the antagonists like Numeros or Niki - they're not just "bad guys." They have motives. They carry scars.

And that's what pulled me in: character arcs that grow, shift, and sometimes break your heart.

Plot Twists That Don't Treat You Like a Kid

This series (and especially The Movie 2) throws curveballs without warning - just like life. There's espionage, betrayal, ethical grey zones. It makes you ask: What would I do in Ali's shoes? What's right, really? These aren't questions I expected from a show with gadgets and hoverboards - but here we are.

Bonding with My Kids Over Something Smart

Best part? I get to share this with my children. We're not just watching. We're talking, analyzing, fan-theorizing. It's a rare kind of show that bridges the generational gap - where both dad and kid can feel equally excited, invested, and moved.

Final Thoughts: Ejen Ali proves that Malaysian animation can compete on the world stage - not just in visuals, but in heart and intellect. It's not "just for kids." It's for anyone who's ever wrestled with doing what's right, choosing who to trust, and finding their place in a complicated world.

And if you're a dad like me? Trust me - this isn't a cartoon.

It's a lesson. A memory. A bond.

One mission at a time.

If japan have naruto, one piece and etc... We malaysians have EJEN ALI

WAU animation this is absolutely wowwwwwwwww!!!!! Omg u guys hv outdone yourself from storyline, romance, emotional damage to the audience wooooo!!!! The choreography and effects are brilliant. Ive been following from first series, so the story really hit me hard this time. I almost cry😭😭😭😭. But thats the kind of story that made me proud for a local product like this. The concept and storyline is just brilliant. How Ali had grown really nostalgic and emotional. How now people around him starts to acknowledge him, and now how he is working for mata officially as an ejen (those who dont follow the series wont understand, he graduated from the academy and is now officially an ejen on duty, he has a mission assign and not treated as a trainee anymore). I really hope this series will get a reaction from international reactors.

Cant wait for season 4. U guys did a good job 👍👍👍👍

Malaysia Best Animation

Love the story, enjoyed it.

I can see this animation potential. Graphic is really good. Proud to see this achievement in Malaysia animation.

Ejen Ali: The Movie 2 is an exciting continuation of the popular Malaysian animated series, bringing us back into the high-tech, action-packed world of young Ali. As a fan of the first movie, I was curious to see if the sequel could live up to expectations-and it definitely did!

The movie explores themes of bravery, friendship, and standing up for what's right.

Emotional ride that is sure to satisfy both fans of the original series and newcomers alike.

WRITTEN AND CRAFTED WITH HEART

A beautiful storytelling of an animated character trying to understand his emotions and friendship while navigating through new challenges of being a young agent.

Each character being portrayed meticulously and showcased the talent behind the creation of this movie. The soundtrack is beautifully produced and placed at the exact moment that brings out the movie even better.

A movie that is definitely worth to watch more than once and worth watching with both young and old generation. It touches the heart and surprised many others. Love the movie wholeheartedly and impressed with beautiful animation.

Absolute Cinema 10/10

This movie is really good. The story has many emotional touches that surprise us with unexpected developments. In addition, the storyline is not just about a hero versus a villain but also includes an anti-hero, commonly known as a vigilante. The entire narrative also makes us reflect on social perspectives regarding the true nature of good and evil. Moreover, the animation in this movie meets international standards, making it a visually engaging experience.

To the producers and the entire team at Wau Animation, you have all done a fantastic job in delivering such an exciting experience through this movie. I hope you continue to create more amazing works, and we will always support you.

Almost magical, just needs a visual polish

The animation lacks the smoothness and fine detailing expected from industry giants like Disney or Pixar. Some character movements feel mechanical, and transitions between scenes can be a little jarring. That said, the storyline is surprisingly solid-emotionally engaging, well-paced, and thoughtfully written. It carries a meaningful message and features character arcs that resonate. If the animation quality is brought up to par, this project could go far. It's clear the creators have talent and vision; now they just need the technical polish to fully bring their story to life. Looking for the next movie!

This movie blew me away.......

First off, I love the sound effects for the fight scenes. Every choreography was cinematically beautiful and great; it puts even all the MCU movies together to shame. Ali this time has come a long way and seems able to handle himself well.

There are moments in the movie I find myself on the brink of tears namely when Ali and Alicia spent time together and being playful and teasing each other as we know the couple is always tense around each other but this time we can see they have started to open up and show their vulnerable side.

The second moment being that when Ali unwittingly hurt Alicia to the point of near death we can see Ali's deep sorrow and helplessness; the third moment is when Ali finally comes around and determined to make good his fault and save the day all the while music and songs are playing in the back which only enhances the storm of emotions for each of these moments that I just mentioned.

Another thing is, I came in with the idea that the story would be straightforward. Lo and behold I would never suspected the real mastermind is hiding in the dark and pulling the string.

What about voice acting? As far as the actors for Ali and Alicia they have done a good job. But, the people behind Dr Geetha and Chief Dayang need to improve because their acting is kind of monotonous and rigid. Nevertheless, one or two hiccups will not spoil your experience with this movie

Overall I love it and truly enjoy it!

Ejen Ali the Movie 2 - A Major Win for Malaysian Animation

Ejen Ali the Movie 2 absolutely blew me away. It's hard to believe that this level of storytelling, animation quality, and emotional depth came from a local Malaysian production - but it did, and it's phenomenal. The animation is top-notch, easily on par with international standards, and the action scenes are thrilling and well-choreographed.

What really stood out, though, was the heart of the story. The characters are relatable, the plot is engaging, and the themes of loyalty, responsibility, and self-discovery hit hard. You can feel how much love and effort the creators poured into this film. It's not just good for a Malaysian movie - it's just a good movie, period.

This film makes me proud of how far the local animation industry has come. If you're still sleeping on Malaysian animation, this movie will change your mind. Highly recommended. 10/10.

Master of Story-Telling

Ejen Ali The Movie 2 is a powerful step forward for Malaysian animation. The visuals are upgraded, the action scenes are thrilling, and the emotional storytelling is always brings me a goosebumps. Ali's growth as a character feels real and relatable, with a plot that explores identity, responsibility, and sacrifice, but Alicia for sure is the highlight for this movie.

The supporting characters are more fleshed out, and the antagonist is well-written, with motivations that make sense.

WAU Animation has outdone themselves. This isn't just a great Malaysian film, this is a great animated film, period.

Highly recommended for fans of animation, action, or meaningful stories. A proud moment for us, local cinema.

improved graphics and amazing sound

The graphics improved from the last one. Its amazing to see that the character looking is great and the animation is insane by looking at their hair details. The action scene also is great because the audience could see what happened during fight and its not confusing.

The sound is amazing even though im not in dolby hall. I cant imagine what it sound like if im in dolby hall. You can hear every detail of what is going on in the movie. It also perfectly balanced. Audience can hear clearly where is the sound came from.

The flow of the story is well-arranged but little bit hard to understand because many things happen in a short time.

Enjoyable from start to end

Putting me at the edge of the seat from start to end, highly recommended to watch. Can't wait for the next season/series post this movie. I don't want to reveal any spoiler but please stay back until the end - after the credits.

The quality of the animation is top notch accompanied by a good story line with a little bit of plot twist. Fighting in a different realm reminded me about the movie - Matrix, which made this movie is one step higher in terms of quality compared to other local animation I watched previously. Kudos to everyone involved in producing this animation. We need more quality animation like this in the future.

Solid, but not as good as first movie

Had high hopes for the sequel, since I was astonished on the superb quality of the 1st movie.

I feel the story plot is much weaker than 1st movie, and it lacks the spotlight on main character. Was hoping a more matured main character (since it has been years waiting for the sequel), but i feel that Ali's character has been overshadowed by the new "ability", hence losing the charm of a kid-version animated superhero theme.

Overall, yes it does offer great fast paced animation quality but it lacks theatrical atmosphere experience quality like the first. Just feels like "binge-watching experience with kids at TV" instead.

Ejen Ali 2 - A Thrilling Upgrade to Malaysia's Animation Legacy!

Ejen Ali 2 is not just a sequel - it's a bold, brilliant evolution of the beloved Malaysian animation series. From the very first scene, the film grabs you with its high-octane action, jaw-dropping visuals, and emotionally rich storytelling. The animation quality has reached international standards, with smooth sequences, detailed environments, and impressive CGI that showcase the talents of the local creative industry.

What truly sets Ejen Ali 2 apart is its heart. While the gadgets, missions, and spy-tech are undeniably cool, it's the emotional depth of the characters that resonates. Ali's personal growth, his struggle between duty and identity, and the exploration of friendship, trust, and sacrifice give the story real emotional weight. You don't just root for Ejen Ali - you feel every twist and turn of his journey.

The voice acting is spot on, and the soundtrack? Epic. It enhances every moment, from pulse-pounding action to touching scenes of self-discovery. New characters are introduced with flair, while old favorites return with more depth and development.

In short, Ejen Ali 2 isn't just a good animated film - it's a proud milestone for Malaysian cinema. It proves that local animation can stand tall on the global stage, with storytelling that's meaningful and universally relatable.

Highly recommended for kids, teens, and adults alike. Whether you're a longtime fan or a newcomer, this is one mission you don't want to miss.

Eventhough it can't top its first film, it's still a pretty darn good movie

I've been a huge fan of this series for years so I'll try to review as spoiler free as I can.

If a newcomer can watch the first film without watching any of the series' first 2 seasons, this is definitely not the case with this 2nd movie. With this one, you need to watch ALL 3 seasons and the first movie to be able to follow with what's going on in this one.

The tone of this film is also way darker than the first movie or even the other seasons so it might throw some of you off especially if you brought your little kids along to watch it.

This movie feels alot heavier too. I feel exhausted after the movie ended and i don't even mean it in a bad way. The amount of things happening during the 2nd and 3rd act was really alot to take in.

However, one of my main complaints of this movie is the writing of Ali's character which seems to be experiencing a regression. Ali in the first movie seems a whole lot more mature than this 2nd one and i feel like it's a shame. Conflicts can still happen naturally without needing to undermine his character growth during the first 3 seasons & movie 1.

That being said, the positives of this movie is definitely the dynamic btwn Ali & Alicia which i think was long overdue, but a great welcome none the less.

Scores and music were great, although i feel it can't beat the first movie with how much more impactful & memorable it was.

Voice acting is amazing. And i appreciate the casting for the main villain of this movie. Superb choice.

Lastly, that DAMN CLIFFHANGER really left me feeling frustrated this time around. The first movie left on a great note and wrapped up everything nicely while this one...just leaves you hanging.

PLEASE I NEED THE NEXT MOVIE TO COME OUT FAST BECAUSE THIS IS KILLING ME INSIDE.

That said, still a really great movie. I really want to watch it again if i can somehow go by myself and not bring my kids along so that i can focus and appreciate the movie in it entirety but there's no showtime during school hours 😭

Overall, i hope this movie and franchise continues to be a huge success. Will continue to support until Ali's journey ends...
