The first and middle parts of the first season of the series are really, really good. Especially the episodes between 10 and 20 are truly excellent. It feels like each episode has the intensity of a "final" episode, and this is wonderfully integrated into the story. However, after episode 28, things really start to go downhill. By the time episode 30 rolls around, it becomes almost unwatchable.
This is what happens when a series doesn't wrap up with a proper ending. It gets filled with unnecessary scenes and irrelevant story elements. As you continue watching, you start to realize how ridiculous everything seems.
The actors are genuinely talented, and the director's ability to convey emotion in the scenes is quite successful. But as I mentioned, if the script isn't well-written, nothing else really matters.
In short, a series that starts off strong and pulls you in ends up completely ruining itself in the last few episodes.
Is it worth watching? Yes, but you might want to be selective.

I was a huge fan at first, but at this point, I can hardly watch it.
I love the lead actors, especially Cemre Baysel. The story began with an interesting premise of justice and a precious love story which honestly could and should have come to a satisfactory end several episodes ago. Unfortunately, it's going downhill with a meaningless and frankly UPSETTING turn of events that I am forcing myself to watch, just for closure. This was one of my favorite shows but now I can't stand to watch.
I will add that the child who portrayed Little Layla did an excellent job. And though a villain, Nur was often entertaining (at least initially). The show was more about her than Leyla. They could have named it Nur, for that matter.
It was really good at first, but now its a chore to watch. How unfortunate.

I like the story so far, I appreciate it's trying to highlight an important message as well. The pace is okay for a turkish series but it still drags sometimes. Female lead she's pretty strong and doesn't let everyone walk all over her. The male lead on the other hand is insufferable. Little Gino was happy and a fighter but adult Gino is weak and stuck in the past - all his scenes are him talking about a short lived childhood romance, at least the female character is motivated by revenge even though she still has a strong connection to their short lived loved. The chemistry between them is also lacking. I am watching for the revenge plot only at this point - I really love to hate Nur she keeps things interesting but of course i'm waiting for her downfall LOL.
Also personally there's way too many flashback scenes from the past.

I am learning Turkish through my love of these dizis, but they are long (2+hours). This is one of the few that I do not skip any parts. The story is compelling, tragic, and suspenseful with charming supporting cast that I've seen before. It also uses some of the same techniques and music as Kara Sevda, another one of my favorites with a similar tone. Cemre as Leyla sparkles on the screen and the young Leyla and Gino scenes are amazingly talented. Those two have bright futures as actors.
Nur is a beast and the actress embues her with such evil with those wicked looks and temper, I'd like to see her in a big Hollywood production playing the Evil Queen in any story. My only criticism is that I wish that Alperen did not look so downtrodden and perpetually on the verge of tears as Civan (adult Gino). Little Gino was brave and strong and a fighter. I'd like to see more of that in the adult version.

In the beginning it was really a UNIQUE and lovely show but most things has Expiry Date and this one has got quite bad now just give us an ending i don't care make it a sad one if you must but make it fast cuz it really is getting worse and worse please don't embarrass your self's any longer. What kind of story tell is this geno is dying and his parents must give him a sibling as a sacrifice in that case he must be having a chance to live with the decease like 5 years maybe since the doctor is saying he needs a sibling and everyone is ploting on giving him one, NOOR : i know life is not fair and bad people mostly get what they want but the writing is geting worse now and it's not helping the characters and by saying characters (tufans sister , i forgot her name I'm not sure if it's her or the BAD WRIGHTING but the character has lost all the respect it used to have.

The start was amazing, I was immediately hooked. The story line may sound unrealistic but that happens to be the type of show I like. I love Cemre's acting, she is also beyond beautiful. All other actors deserve so much more acknowledgment, every facial expression and movement is on point and you can feel the tense in situations. Their acting is so amazing that you yourself, can feel every sadness, happiness, and anger. The start dragged a little and the flashbacks were annoying because I enjoyed seeing the older Leyla getting revenge. I personally, was very satisfied and if this series get's canceled I will be most disappointed then I have ever been.

From episodes 1 to that episode where Neco is about to unalive Noor wrapped in carpet and chain. This series could've ended there, that's the sweet spot - retribution, justice served!
But NO! Like several other Turkish TV series, they decided to inject ridicul0us subplot to extend the story into several more episodes. They made Civan lose his memory back to the time when Leyla was just a house cook and not his wife and they also decided that Leyla and the rest of the cast were prohibited to remind Civan about the current and real circumstance - that Leyla is his wife - what??? And instead call back the ex-girlfriend as that is the memory that he recalls. What?????
I have loved this series and excited waiting every episode UNTIL the memory loss episode ...... I lost interest now. It became funny, utterly silly, meaningless and ruined what was once an exciting Turkish TV series.
If I've written this review 2 - 3 weeks ago prior to the memory loss episode, I could've given it 10 stars, now it was reduced to 1.

Sometimes a person while watching a drama or a series lives in that character because the Same happens To the person in real life. While watching this drama "Leyla" i felt that pain again. The pain of separation to your Loved one the pain teaches you how to live the burden carrying within yourself is hard You know why?? ... because when You truly love someone with all your Heart Your feelings towards them don't change Even if they done you Wrong But the heart full of love its only the mind that's gets angry but your feelings towards them remains The same... And Leyla You remind me Of that person whom i loved in my childhood yeah He was the first person whom i loved but i couldn't fight for him i couldn't find him.... but You "Leyla" am hoping and wishing a good end For You With Your "Gino" ....

Writers and directors of turkish series have the habit of making excellent TV shows and twice the bad habit of ruining the story right past the climax, in order to extend the series as per audience clamor or sponsors and advertisers requests.
This is what happened to Leyla series. Everything was good, almost all episodes past 10 have their own climax, slow unraveling of secrets and revelations and vengeance kept us audience on the edge of our seats, until it's almost the end. BUT, hey, they're not ready to pack up just yet, so the writers decided to divert the story into something the viewers, I'm sure, are not happy about, nor interested to see.
Hatice and her infidelity - we are not interested. Then we lost Serap, what happened to her? Then, the appearance of new characters which, for sure, comes along with their own lengthy stories to lengthen further the story and this series.
This series is ruined past episode 30. If you want to start watching it, you've been warned.

*** Apart from the fact that Cemre Baysel (Leyla) and Alperen Duymaz (Civan/Gino) are extremely good-looking, they are incredibly TALENTED.
*** Some people might think this is a typical love story, but they're wrong. The main focus is on the main actress's revenge and the story revolves around her inner fight between love for Civan and revenge for his mother who hurt her deeply in the past.
*** The plotline is captivating from the very beginning so you don't need to wait much for the story to develop and I'm pretty sure that you'll get addicted very quickly. I enjoy watching both versions of Leyla - the one who is extremely in love with Civan and the one who is strictly determined to destroy her main enemy.
*** My recommendation is that at least you give it a try and watch, let's say, at least first 2 episodes and then decide whether you'll continue or not.

This series ended at episode 34 or 35. If you've watched all those episodes, you've watched the "live telecast". If you're still watching after episode 35, it's like watching replays. This sort of BOOK 2 is a remake of the plot, same story different characters and perhaps some circumstances. They dismissed the previous family/characters - the family f Tufan which Nur deceived and played with for a whole 35 episodes. Now they put in new set of characters or a new family in a new house, that Nur is deceiving and playing with all over again. If you've watched upto episodes 35, you're done! Continuing so woud be boring and a waste of time.

.... the writers, director or whoever decides to pump-up the story to stimulate excitement as it's already going to the direction of The End, and they don't want to end it because the sponsors and advertisers do not want to.
I'll be honest, I really truly love this series, earnestly waiting for new episode each week. I like the ping-pong of domination between Nur and Leyla, waiting for the next episode to find out if Leyla won or Nur succeeded, eagerly waiting for the unraveling of secrets, for the downfall of the mighty intelligently cunning conning Nur, and just when I thought it's the end of Nur, they decided to give Civan an illness and lose his memory - that and onward episodes got messed up big time.
And to boost the story further, they decided to give the supporting casts their own story, whose insignificant roles from the beginning is nothing but mere observers, reactionists, wallflowers and added accessories. All of a sudden Hatice had an extra marital affair, when there was never a hint of that from the start, where did that story came from? They also decided that the character Ferda suddenly has no dignity and pride to not divorce Mali after she found out the infidelity right under their noses. That surprisingly, Tufan is something else (I won't spoil it for those who are starting to watch it). After several episodes without hindts, no clues, no traces, no warnings - all supporting characters are conning each others. This series has become a comedy! As a member of Turkish TV series viewing public, let me tell you this - We're not interested! Focus on the main plot and related subplots, nothing very circus-y, please. We are interested on the vindication, the vengeance, the fall of Nur, perhaps the unaliving of Nur, the hardships that leads to the lonely unaliving of the evil character.
And why do they have to hide the truth from the amnesia'd Civan? From the start, Leyla could've easily and conveniently tell Civan that they're married, that they're lovers since kids, show pictures, videos of their wedding, marital documents, testimonies of all the people around them. Perhaps, that's the advise that a psychiatrist in real life would prescribe. Why hide? Because the doctor says so? Or the writers who want to lengthen the series to please the advertisers and annoy the viewers and ultimately ruin what once was a great TV series?
Please stop treating us viewers as stupid as the series, just because we're watching it. Focus!

Drama for the sake of drama. Cheap drama. Nothing logical. At first, the series started pretty well, but as it progressed, the more it became nonsense. Illogical turn of events and very unrealistic. Very repetitive, I started skipping most of the episode just to watch the "important" parts because the story didn't progress. It's truly a waste of time.
The ONLY good part of this show, i'd say, is Leyla's child actor's acting (Melisa Duru Ünal). I've never seen a child act this well, realistically and deliver their lines so accurately. It really took me by surprise! It is really phenomenal for a child to master this stage of acting at this age.

The worst Turkish series you could ever watch in your life. The worst director ever, he doesn't know what he wants from the series. The series should have ended after barely 15 episodes, not 40.
The actress Cemre is very bad, you feel that the series is talking about Nour and not Cemre Baysal, the heroine of the series is Nour .
Little Laila had a better performance than big Laila. Gino is not in the series, he is an extra, a very weak performance. Inconsistent events, the director wanted to make the series too long and bad .
When the series was stopped, I was happy that this weak series was over.

Leyla Hayat Ask Adalet
Turkish industry series as predictable as several thousand previous ones. It's a shame how Alperen Duymaz acting has reached such a low level. Cemre Baysel acting is as flat and lifeless as ever, unfortunately no surprise.
The main actors Cemre Baysel as Leyla Alperen Duymaz as Civan are incompatible, they have no chemistry, their acting is boring, irritable, insufferable.
The kids are cute but that's not enough to please the audience. Little Laila had a better performance than big Laila - Cemre Baysel.
The dialogues are boring and make you want to speed up to skip scenes.
To sum up, in my opinion it is a film only for those who have nothing else to watch.

Leyla is crying 24/7 this is not a revenge attitude at all .. only focusing on her eyes as her face is not conveying any emotions - the stepmother acts better and the young Leyla (kid) is the best actor in the whole series.. plot is moving very slow without suspense just building hatred towards the stepmom without any action from Leyla who forgot her father how this lady destroyed her life and kept sobbing for love!!! The male character has poker face too no emotions and he doesn't look 1% like himself when he was a kid in the series.. bad choice of actors is clear.. ..... Boring don't recommend.
