Betray: Thirst

Top-notch performances. The cast has amazing chemistry. The film is expertly directed with a tight script. The cinematography and sound design are elite. The film is tense when it needs to be and keeps you on the edge of your seat. There are comedic moments that keep things from getting melodramatic. There is not a moment that feels forced in this movie and that is a testament to the amazing actors and deft direction from Lockridge. This is independent film at its best. If this director were given a Hollywood budget his originality would put the stale copy/paste stories they are continually releasing to shame.

Loved this movie! Writer-Director Jaron Lockridge gives us an insightful, touching and sometimes really funny look into the hearts and lives of people just like us in this wonderful installment of the Betray anthology.characters are familiar and new at the same time.

The writing is crisp and edgy. No easy way to put any character in a box. Jaron's script and the actors imbue even his "bad guys" with such humanness you will empathize with them. Especially the character who commits the most heinous act. I especially liked the friendships! Everyone needs one of these BFFs in your life.

First of all, the acting for mostly unknown actors in this project was extremely impressive. The emotional parts along with the comedic parts made this a very complex watch. This is an issue that happens a lot and as an avid podcast watcher, you hear it in podcasts quite a bit but I've never seen in brought out in a movie. There is no single character you dislike because the writing made you empathize with every character. Since this is a second film in the series, I gotta go back and watch the first movie because this one left me thoroughly impressed. Kudos to the cast and to the production team for a job well done.

I enjoyed this flick. I'm familiar with the director's work from a film festival and I've seen quite a bit of his work. I root for anyone willing to step out and produce a movie with minimal resources. This is maybe the best I've seen him produce. He's had a few films with potential where the acting and production value was subpar but this is an exception. All of the actors were believable and although you know beforehand what's likely to happen, I was still intrigued to see how the story would unfold. The highlight of the movie would have to be the actress, Bre Hassan, and her performance. This appears to be her first credit in a film but she was amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing more of her. Overall, a pretty good movie.

From the beginning to the end, this movie holds your attention. The cast brought their A- game! The storyline was so realistic and relatable. Really makes you take an introspective look and wonder how you would handle some of the same situations. The insight into the lives of the characters made you feel as if you personally knew each one. This story takes you on a ride from sympathy to disbelief. There were times you would have sworn you were watching a comedy! I cannot say enough about how well written it was! The chemistry between the cast is palpable. All in all, this was hands down, one of, if not the best movie I've seen this year!
