In order to try and escape an arranged politically driven marriage Lucas (Andrei Prunila) lies to his father, Albert (Sean McHugh), his arranged father in-law, the corrupt Senator Maverick Thompson (Jeffery Thomas Johnson), and his arranged bride Sophia Thompson (Bri Ana Wagner), that he is actually gay and engaged to his non-existant boyfriend, who after walking in on the mess that is ensuing is declared to be Wyatt (Michael Naizu) who is actually a secret agent working undercover to investigate the corruption going on at Lucas' dads company, Crypto Coin. Despite the deception, secrets, and crimes, Lucas and Wyatt inevitably fall in love for real and face the dangers head on together to save the company and his dad.
This was my first vertical series, and well, the rest is history as they say. This series has everything from cringey dancing, heart warming love scenes, corruption, lies, and hilarious scenes. Andrei Prunila is excellent in his role as Lucas, encapsulating the awkward young man who is having a VERY unplanned sexual awakening perfectly all while trying to save his dad and his company. Michael Naizu had me cackling out loud my first watch through, and the 900 times I have watched since then! And the use on innuendo was top tier.
I loved the way this series managed to include so many different facets, from the homophobic senator who secretly has boys massage a please him. Through to gangs, financial corruption and wrongful imprisonment all while we are watching these two men fumble their way together and somehow fall in love. Sophia (Bri Ana Wagner) having a real drive to be as corrupt and evil as she is, makes for a well-rounded villainess, however we do get to see some funny scenes of her, for example when she tries to break into Wyatts house... Im talking about the hair in the wind...

Wow! The main actors did a great job together; you can see them slowly building their chemistry with each episode. You laugh at the silly scenes and get involved in their awkward scenes. Hopefully, they made a season 2 because it was really necessary, even though it ends everything well. But you finish the series wanting to know more about this crazy love. It was a good experience, and I really enjoyed their acting. They did such a good job in a small amount of time (as small as the budget). I like how they create other small stories that make you laugh as well. Most of the father's scenes are hilarious. It's completely worth watching!
DramaBox bombarded me with ads and I finally gave in and spent the money for a one week subscription so I could watch the whole series. I was actually pleasantly surprised. Is this serial a little campy & cringe? Yeah, it is. But is it actually charming & likable? Very much so.
I didn't expect to like it as much as I did - I honestly did not expect to get hooked, but here I am writing a review!!! The plot was, as I said, maybe a bit implausible, but it was a great vehicle to the leads' building affection for each other and the ultimate resolution at the end. The two leads an actually felt like they were truly developing feelings for each other and I couldn't help but cheer for them as the plot unfolded. Whoever did the casting and coaching did their job well!

Don't get me wrong, this vertical show isn't exactly golden globes worthy, but for what it's worth, I went in with terribly low expectations yet it actually really took me aback by how entertaining it was.
The incredibly cheesy script and bollywood-esque direction are for the most part carried and compensated by the two main actors' pretty solid performance to create a piece that doesn't take itself too seriously and fulfills its purpose with lethal efficiency: entertaining you for a while as you're commuting to work, waiting on your doctor's appointment and so on and so forth.
It's sweet, it's ridiculously dramatic, it's fun, all in all it's a very ideal guilty pleasure to enjoy shamelessly.

I've never watched a show on a platform like DramaBox before, but I kept seeing ads for this and was intrigued. I gave it a "what the heck" type of try and ended up watching the entire series in one sitting!
Yes, it's cheesy. Yes, some parts are cringe. And yes, the show makers 100 percent know it. It's full of silly, campy, over-the-top humor, along with some tender and sweet moments and edge-of-your-seat plot events. And the result is a binge worthy, endearing story that will give you the serotonin boost you need.
The best part of the show is definitely Michael Naizu as Wyatt, the hunky title character. Not only is Naizu gorgeous to watch and swoonworthy in every single way, he also turns in a solid, convincing performance as the savvy secret agent with a heart of gold. And his chemistry with Andrei Prunila (who plays the title character's "spouse" Lucas) is excellent.
It's not the type of show that's going to be up for any Emmys likely, but it's a fun piece of entertainment if you're looking for something different. I enjoyed it so much I watched it a second time!
