No. This film is inspired by the urban legend generated by the media, encouraged by the people across the internet, after the body of 28 years old Takako Konishi was found on Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, USA, on November, 2001. This film includes fictionalized accounts of some events that actually happened during Ms. Konishi's last journey to the USA, but is by no means accurate to the reality. She wasn't a fan of the Coen's brothers film Fargo: Uma Comédia de Erros (1996), much less was her travel to North Dakota related to it. If you are interested in the real Takako Konishi's story, you can watch the documentary This Is a True Story (2003).
