Hook

This film was originally a movie I thought it would be decent, but BOY I WAS WRONG!!! The practical effects were really good, maybe besides the hook itself and the design is eh to me, the story and acting are pretty good, blood and honey 2 worthy acting, not that much blood but it makes up for it, Stephen Haley rocks as Hook, best hook thus far and Peter got a good actor. I'd love for a sequel and Harry, keep making these movies they're funny, cheesy and nice to see!

I am still waiting for a free version of Mouseboat Massacre!!! I watched it on YouTube btw, I ain't waiting for amazon prime.....

I really wanted to like Hook (2025) because the concept is actually super cool, but unfortunately, the execution just didn't land. I get that it's a low-budget film, so I wasn't expecting mind-blowing effects or anything - but budget doesn't excuse bad acting, boring camera work, or a messy storyline. Most of the acting was rough, aside from Jay Robertson and Stephen Staley. Some scenes made no sense at all - like how James managed to shove an entire hook through someone's back like a sword, or how a girl kept crawling forever after getting her throat slit. It just felt like style over substance, and not in a good way. With stronger direction and more attention to story, this could have actually been a great indie horror.

This was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The acting was flat and unconvincing, the script was weak, and the storyline was almost nonexistent. It felt like the film tried to distract from its lack of substance by leaning heavily on sexual content, but it only highlighted how bad the writing and direction were. The cast seemed completely unprepared for anything beyond posing for the camera, and the whole production came off like an unpolished project thrown together without a clear vision. The IMDb rating of around 2.7 feels accurate - I'm still confused how it scored higher on the streaming platform where I found it. Unless you're intentionally looking for a case study in how not to make a movie, skip this one.
