"Heads or Tails?" is an Italian movie which, like older Italian films of the 60s and 70s, stars an American, John C. Reilly. I enjoyed him but felt he was largely unnecessary to the plot...which is a shame as he was the best part of the movie.
The story begins with Buffalo Bill Cody (Reilly) putting on a show in Italy, as his Wild West Show did tour throughout Europe...not just the USA. This part is quite entertaining.
Soon after the show, you see that the important Italian man who sponsored the show is a real brute. He treats his wife like dirt...calling her all sorts of things IMDB won't let me repeat as well as slapping him around for no reason. So, when he's about to lay into a guy who he was angry with, she decides enough is enough and kills him. Soon the woman and the man run off together and the dead man's father puts a bounty on the man's head...presumably because they don't realize she was the killer.
The film has some VERY good elements. Not only Buffalo Bill but the woman killing the man...both were quite engaging. But the film also lagged at times...and the relationship with the man and woman never made a lot of sense. Not a bad film but a highly uneven one.
