With no budget for promotion, the filmmakers and actors took a unique approach during the film's launch in Swedish cinemas. They went on a small tour with the fictional band "The Raspberries," playing a few shows before or after screenings.
The Swedish theatrical release took place on October 18, 2024.
The world premiere was held at the Way Out West music festival in Gothenburg, 2024.
The international release occurred at the Molodist Film Festival in Kyiv, Ukraine, later that same year.
The estimated budget was 300,000 SEK (around 27,000 USD).
The film was financed by the director working part-time at a storage facility where they shipped frozen food. Because the work was done in freezing temperatures of -18°C, the pay was good, according to the director.
The film is "inspired by real events" from the director's time touring with his band.
Filming took place during the COVID-19 pandemic. The first day of shooting was a club scene where Siri and Beatrice are dancing. In the first take, all the extras in the background were still wearing face masks for a five-minute scene, but no one on set noticed until after the take was finished.
