"The Keepers Diary: A Biohazard Story" is an outstanding testament to the dedication and passion of its writer and director. As a fan of Resident Evil since its inception in 1996, this short film means the absolute world to me. Unlike the numerous failed attempts by Hollywood and Netflix to capture the essence of the franchise, "The Keepers Diary" nails it. The creators have succeeded in delivering a true adaptation that resonates deeply with die-hard fans. Their attention to detail and respect for the source material is evident, making this film a must-watch for any Resident Evil enthusiast. Bravo to the team for their exceptional work!
Operating under a budget of only $55,277, The Keeper's Diary: A Biohazard Story hits all the marks in this Indie Resident Evil fan film short based on the popular 1996 video game. Directed by Andrew Saullo, he delivers 16 minutes of pure joy to Resident Evil fans worldwide that only Hollywood wishes it could have done with its lackluster attempts. Let Saullo show you how it's done.
Saullo lifts right from the diary you find in the game, keeping true to the game's story, which is what we RE fans have wanted all along in a film adaptation. It is so cool to see The Keeper's descriptions brought to life, and the Hunter scene made my jaw drop and then squeal with delight.
The CGI is jaw-dropping, especially for this low-budget indie short. Saullo and his Visual Effects department do outstanding work. What really makes The Keeper's Diary: A Biohazard Story a top prize is its cast. The Keeper is played by Charlie Kraslavsky, who RE fans may recognize if they played the Resident Evil Directors Cut version back in the day. Which as a fan was so amazing!

This is one of the best adaptations of the game i've ever seen. They stayed true to the essence of the video game as opposed to some of the big hollywood productions. I also love the fact that they even got one of the original cast members of the game, Charlie Kraslavsky who played the original Chris Redfield, to play the keeper. This is absolutely amazing. I can't wait to see what this group has in store for their next project. I see big things in the future for this production team. Also a shout out the the janitor character at the end, that was a funny and unique addition (albeit unrelated to the game it was still clever)
I really loved this . Enjoyed this awesome fan film. It stayed faithful to the games this is better then any resident evil movie or series that we got in the past. I really love resident evil it was worth the wait it brought the Hype. I wish that we got something so faithful like this its just frustrating that Hollywood doesn't care about anything like the fans for starts they don't care about the fans for what they love i love this so much iam so thankful that we have so many faithful fan's out there that loves resident evil even though i wasnt around for the OG's i really love it. Capcom hope you are taking notes.

I've seen all the adaptations up to this point and spin offs, they have been mediocre at best. They lack the horror feel and any resemblance to the game series. I've been a fan of the game since the release of RE2. Watching this adaptation was incredible. The care taken to utilize something from the game, utilize original cast members, and make sure to keep the fear element is unmatched. Capcom take note, maybe think about a collaboration. Let the fans express how they think it should be. The original idea was developed and we are fans because of that original idea. Get this team to assist in the next movie or series ideas; they have it down for sure!
And the teaser at the end of the movie ... I'm excited for what's next from these guys!

- CuriosidadesThe film has many of the same cast and crew that also worked on the documentary "George A. Romero's Resident Evil". The Director, Andrew Saullo, worked as a 2nd Unit Director on the documentary. Producer J.J. Trulock was also an Associate Producer on the Romero documentary and did an interview, as well as hosted the trailers on his YouTube channel, Residence of Evil. Duane Carlton Merritt scored both projects. Paige Barbis did FX make-up for both films as well. Andy Cox procured gameplay footage for the film, and Charlie Kraslavsky, the lead actor of "The Keeper's Diary", also did an interview for the documentary. The director of "George A. Romero's Resident Evil" worked on set of "The Keeper's Diary" assisting with set construction and design. Additionally, Pablo Kuntz provides his voice in both, and Ward Sexton performs the Title Call in both films.
