Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! Is a refreshing take on the romantic comedy genre. The story revolves around Kazuhiko Nukumizu, a self-proclaimed "background character" who finds himself entangled with several girls who have been rejected by their respective love interests. This unique premise sets the stage for a series filled with humor, heartfelt moments, and a touch of drama. This anime just brings happiness to my life, best rom-com next to Love is War.
The plot is engaging, focusing on Kazuhiko's interactions with the "losing heroines" like Anna Yanami, Lemon Yakishio, and Chika Komari. Each character brings their own charm and quirks to the story. Anna, the popular girl-next-door, Lemon, the spirited athlete, and Chika, the shy literature club member, all add depth and variety to the narrative. This anime is miles ahead of Roshidere and all anime that came out this summer.
Produced by A-1 Pictures, the animation quality is top-notch. The character designs are vibrant and expressive, capturing the essence of each heroine's personality. The backgrounds are detailed, and the overall visual aesthetic is pleasing to the eye. Don't even get me started on the intro-one of the best bops in all of anime, especially with the stunning animation that accompanies it.
The series explores themes of rejection, self-discovery, and the complexities of teenage romance. It handles these themes with a balance of comedy and sincerity, making it relatable and enjoyable. The interactions between Kazuhiko and the heroines are well-written, often leading to humorous and touching moments. The voice acting is superb, with each actor bringing their character to life in a memorable way. The music, both the opening and ending themes, as well as the background score, perfectly complements the mood of the series.
Overall, Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! Is a standout in the romantic comedy genre, offering a unique and heartwarming experience that resonates with viewers. It's a must-watch for fans of rom-coms and anyone looking for a feel-good anime with a lot of heart. From the botttom of my heart support makene and pray for a season 2 to come, raise the popularity of this amazing god given show.

Im not that person that consumes lots of animes because the anime industry misses lots of this kinda of animes that involve romantic stuff and relations between teens or adults like the god tier "A Silent Voice" movie.
In this anime all characters are good and you feel some connection to them but that doesnt save the anime.
Last 2 to 4 episodes were just straigh boring telling boring stories.
This anime kinda misses the realism of life, only character that i felt that was really getting something similar to reality was Lemon Yakishio and Anna Yanami. (I just dont understand how months go by and they still think about the last guy that they loved, i dont think anyone copes that much time irl and if you do get some help, you would benefit from it :) )
Still dont understand why my guy (the main character) hasnt been in love in his life and doesnt want to make friends or call somebody friend.
I really dont understand where this anime wants to aim for.
I really was expecting something more draining that you could relate too and cry too but we got almost nothing of that.
Waste of time in my opinion because it tells you lots of boring stories to the end and in the end you find that you didnt gain anything from this, usually when you search for videos on youtube of this kind like to understand love better you get out better than you entered but in this anime i felt like i entered and got out with the same, got nothing new from it.
If you want to watch this anime i recommend you not expecting it to be realistic and relatable and like our lifes, some moments are boring and that moments are depicted in the anime.

Another high school anime, with its typical festival episodes and such, where, on this occasion, the protagonist befriends several girls thanks to their heartbreaks.
The male protagonist is quite bland and reserved, while each of the girls has very distinct and well-defined personalities.
The best part of it is the humor, although it's mostly concentrated in the first episodes and gradually decreases over time.
Good production, with character design that is slightly above the average level of the genre. The sound is also noteworthy, as it helps enhance the comedic moments.
Entertaining, but it's not going to go down in history as one of the best animes.

Okay, I'll admit it... I went into 'Make Heroine' expecting your run-of-the-mill rom-com. But man, was I pleasantly surprised! This show sneaks up on you with its quirky humor, lovable characters, and relatable storylines. I found myself actually feeling for these girls, you know? The pain of unrequited love, the struggle to confess... it's all so real. And that main character? Totally neutral at first, but slowly wins you over. The friendships, the drama, the FEELS... it all adds up to a show that's way more than the sum of its parts. Only complaint? That ending! Left me hanging, man. Need. More. Episodes. 8/10, would def recommend.
This anime series is centred on Kazuhiko Nukumizu, a high-school boy who describes himself as a 'background character', and various female friends. He is a somewhat reserved character and the girls have one thing in common; Kazuhiko has witnessed them being dumped or rejected by boys. Over the course of the series he tries to help the girls in various ways.
I thought this was an enjoyable series. On the surface it looks like yet another harem show but it manages to do things differently. Rather than the typical stereotypes the characters and their issues feel real which gives in emotional heft while still being amusing at times. The character designs and animation are of a high quality. Overall I'd definitely recommend this to fans of the genre; when it was over I was left wanting more.
