This TV show is worth watching. Each police officer has a different mission built from their background, personality, connections... I know some of the actors in this movie like Park Bogum and Kim So-Huyn. I think this is their first action movie and it was so good, this breakthrough move makes fans more curious about them. Each episode follows a sequence, the range of emotions from low to high, there are many thrilling scenes in some episodes and the most surprising is in episode 13 that made me wow. Can't wait to watch episode 14 💪. I would recommend this TV show for everyone. Hope you guys enjoys it.

After watching the first four episodes, the versatility that Park Bo Gum has portrayed in his acting is exemplary. I am in awe to see him in this action-packed role in Good Boy with his hardened gaze, unlike the ones filled with his doe-like, love-filled eyes. No doubt he is the prince of romantic dramas, but his performance in this action series is a brilliant display of his talent. The stark contrast that his character, Yoon Dong Ju, conveyed while punching the hell out of the bad guys and the way he is totally whipped for Ji Han Na, is one of the many Maeryok (charming) points of Park Bo Gum in this series.
The variety and growth he has shown in his recent drama picks like When Life gives you tangerines and Good Boy, have filled my heart with immense satisfaction and pride. I remember in Record of Youth, one of his previous dramas, particularly at the ending of episode 4, a scene of him as a villain and beating up the guys. I was amazed to see the change in his expression (from all smiles to badass villain) and the way he handled that scene was flawless and very impactful. I wanted to see him more in such a character (something intense and fierce). This series actually fulfills it and even exceeds it. I hope the story line remains as strong as it is now. I loved the other characters too. However, this review is only for Park Bo Gum. Couldn't resist writing it!

If you're in the mood for a drama packed with adrenaline-pumping action, "Goodboy" delivers from the get-go. While the first episode dedicates a significant chunk of its runtime (approximately 90 minutes) to character introductions, this extended build-up ultimately pays off with a powerful and impactful unveiling of its main players.
Park Bogum, in particular, shines with his comedic timing and surprising display of raw strength early on. Viewers will be impressed by his physical prowess, evident in several scenes in Episode 1. And prepare for a truly unique and exhilarating car chase sequence - one that defies expectations with a character literally "stuck to the car on foot!" The sheer excitement of this moment is something you truly have to experience to appreciate.
But while Episode 1 lays a solid foundation, Episode 2 is an absolute must-watch. Without giving away any spoilers, this installment escalates the stakes and propels the narrative forward in a way that will leave you eagerly anticipating what comes next. It's the kind of episode that solidifies "Goodboy" as a drama to keep an eye on.
In summary, "Goodboy" promises to be a thrilling ride. Despite a somewhat lengthy introductory phase, the payoff is worth it, delivering strong character moments and genuinely exciting action. Be sure to clear your schedule for Episode 2 - you won't want to miss it.

I wanted to watch this because Park Bo-Gum is one of my favourite actors - he has proven that he can take on much any role and do it credit. In this he is a gold medal winning boxer who joins the police force along with other sports stars to form a criminal fighting team. They all use their particular abilities in dealing with crimes. There has to be an arch villain of course - and it comes in the form of another excellent actor Oh Jung-Se who is the kingpin of the drug business protected by those very high in politics. The story is a virtual dual between these two men.
The problem is that there are far too many fights against impossible odds - and our hero would never survive the beatings he receives. There is of course the obligatory love triangle - but I see no chemistry between Dong-Ju and Han-na - he does his best but she is not responsive at all.
The comedy is Korean - which Westerners may find childish. The scenes of Dong-Ju stuffing whole eggs into his mouth and other food is somewhat off putting - I have seen this in other series and I am not sure if it is meant to be comedic.
I am struggling to continue to watch it - every scene seems to be the same now.
Park Bo-gum certainly earns his money - it is a very active part for him to play - if I continue to watch it will only be for him.

If you're a fan of action-packed series with a dash of comedy and a powerful villain, this one ticks many boxes. The cast delivers solid performances, and the chemistry between characters keeps you engaged. However, the biggest letdown is the pacing - what could've wrapped up neatly in 10 or 11 episodes was unnecessarily stretched to 16, making the middle episodes feel a bit dragged.
Despite that, the action sequences were top-notch, and the villain absolutely stole the show with a gripping presence that left a lasting impact. The series balances comedy and intensity well, and while it's not perfect, it's still a fun watch if you have the patience.

- CuriosidadesThe series was Park Bo-gum's first foray in the action genre; he had six months of intense training - including an hour of strength workouts and two hours of daily boxing practice to play his character Yoon Dong-ju. He also learned movements by working with a boxer from Uzbekistan.
