Average movie

The story revolves around two brothers, with a mix of action and comedy. While the fight scene was decent and watchable, the comedy felt forced-almost as if the filmmakers were desperately trying to make the audience laugh, but it simply didn't work. While I noticed some kids in the theater enjoying it, for me, the humor just didn't work. One of the biggest drawbacks was the overacting by several actors, especially Mathew, whose performance felt exaggerated and unnatural. Instead of immersing viewers in the story, the over-the-top acting made some scenes feel awkward. Overall, it's a watchable film, but not worth a theater visit-better suited for an OTT release.

An attempt that goes mild all the way, with forgettable humour. [+41%]

I see writer-director ADJ's intention to package a clean, colorful Gen Z entertainer, but this is honestly just passable fare. The humor barely (..and I mean, BARELY) hit the mark for me (eliciting a couple of chuckles isn't what I expect from a film marketed as a comedy), with only Sangeeth Prathap and Shajohn managing to work some magic. The rest of the cast is supremely annoying-Mathew and his anger issues reminded me of Ram Charan from Game Changer, just louder; Arjun Ashokan needs to change things around a bit, while Mahima Nambiar and Shyam Mohan hardly have anything substantial to do. Being loud and over-the-top only works when you have the acting range to back it up and that's unfortunately not the case with the majority of the ensemble here. It's not Saturday Night-level abysmal, but I sat through 2h 30m without connecting to the characters or their cooked-up situations. Bharat Bopanna, as Arjun Reddy lite, is alright. Govind Vasantha's music, which I usually like, also turns out to be meh. The Akhil George-Chaman Chakko combo, after Identity, is again working overtime to cover up for a weak script.

Not gonna win any awards but still a slapstick entertainer

Well, movies at the end of the day, for a lot of it's consumers are a source of fun and entertainment and stree busters. An escape from the stress and rigours of day to day life and generally not much more is expected from a 2-3 hour watch. While many of us do enjoy gripping thrillers and intense drama and emotions and the odd scare fest, the slapstick entertainer is the staple when you just want to relax. Now in spite of this near staple like demand for this genre, executing it with perfection is a skill not many possess and delivering it with consistency was a skill the Malayalam industry was known for. An ode to the times of Priyadarshan's heyday, Sathyan Anthikkad and Siddique-Lal, Vineeth Sreenvasan and co.

Arun D Jose tries to emulate these veterans of the craft and while he falters on many fronts, does still manage to deliver a palatable product. The jokes do hit more often than not. The plot moves forward aided by a decent screenplay and some quirky dialogues. The cast was a bit of let down especially when it came to the comedic timing and it is Sangeeth Pratap and Shajohn who stand out but then do so more owing to being one eyed men in the land of the blind.

Overall the movie does offer some fun moments and the overall experience is worth the time invested though not by much and hence my run of the mill rating. Still, do watch if you have some time and no mood to invest much brain cells for a two and half hours.

Bromance - Struggle to hold any attention!

Bromance tries to deliver an entertaining mix of drama, comedy, and action, but despite a promising start, it loses steam midway, leaving the audience disengaged.

The film initially hooks viewers with an interesting setup, but as the story unfolds, the pacing slows down significantly, making it a dull experience. Mathews' performance, instead of adding depth, often feels exaggerated, bordering on overacting, which makes certain scenes unintentionally cringeworthy. The supporting cast does a passable job, but no one truly stands out. The saving grace, to some extent, is actor Shajon, who brings some energy with his character. A few comedic moments land well, but overall, the film struggles to maintain engagement.

On the technical front, the editing is decent but lacks finesse, while the music is forgettable, adding nothing extraordinary to the experience. In the end, 2025 Bromance is a one-time watch at best, more suited for a casual home viewing rather than a trip to the theatre.

Feel good Fun Movie

It's a nice feel good comedy movie. All youngsters portrayed their characters well Funny thriller can watch with Family and friends. The movie is a thriller wherein brother starts his search for his missing brother .With the help of other friends the story shows how they find the brother ..the journey is fun. Loved the expressions. At few places felt there was unnecessary hyper action added. Would give this movie above average rating. Nowadays all big superstar make average movies and Fan club's make it a hit by adding all fake ratings. Movies like this needs to be promoted. Malayalam movie has evolved because of simple movies like this and the because of unique story telling Would recommend watching this movie have fun.

Bromance an irritating Movie

I have seen this movie today and its already disappeared from my mind. Movie have nothing positive other than presence of Shajon, Arjun Ashokan and Mahima. No story line which can mske a film strong. Why i said irritating movie for me is because of dialogue delivery part of few actors. Director might be looking for younger audiences but i doubt even they will like it. Not worthy of paying a rupeese for this movie. Not even a good song which can help us to remember this movie. Overall i would give Not even a Single ⭐. I hope new directors should write a good script before planning for movie. Best of Luck.

Bromance - An action packed entertainer with eccentric performances

Rating - 3.5/5

A clean action fun suspense entertainer with eccentric performances.

The story takes us through the lives of two brothers and erratic events that takes shape on their hunt for finding the missing brother forms the storyline.

ADJ as always has given a promising entertainer with funny moments. Good writing by ADJ,Thomas and Raveeshnath giving some humorous moments and Bromance through the movie with relatable dialogues and witty characters. The filmmakers has mixed friendship, bromance, love, betrayal, action and family emotions in the movie that could be well related by anyone.

Good performances by Mathew,Arjun Ashokan,Sangeetha Prathap & Mahima Nambiar. The placement of Bharath Bopanna as the antagonist was a brilliant move and served the purpose.

Akhil George has captured the movie maintaining the pace of the movie & Chaman Chakko has trimmed the story to a fun filled entertainer.👍🏻Good music and BGM's by Govind Vasantha kept the vibe, mood and suspense of the story alive.

A good fun to watch entertainer ride on weekend with friends and family.

Cringe

The main guy can't act. It was so cringe. Every time his 'anger' issues came to light (which was like every ten seconds) I was wincing cos it was just so bad. Exaggeration and over-the-top is not comedy fyi. Dude was saying every line through clenched teeth, as if that = anger. Another actor would have done a way better job and would have made his character so much more natural and realistic. Ashokan was a simp. He was also pretty useless, why was he even there? The plot itself was boring. It dragged. I got bored. For a movie marketed as a comedy, I didn't laugh. Sangeeth was good though, I think he saved *one* scene (I giggled) but the rest? Eh. No offense but that's a HUGE problem especially since I actually have the worst sense of humour (I literally laughed at Bad Boys so it's not that hard) so yeah. Crappy movie. Not worth your time.

The usual.

BROMANCE-AN ABOVE AVERAGE FLICK

Bromance is a good entertainer with an engaging storyline. Arjun Ashokan, Mathew Thomas, Sangeeth Prathap, Kalabhavan Shajon, and the entire cast performed their roles fabulously. The makers used some famous social media references, placing and presenting them very neatly. Most of the comedy worked well, making the film enjoyable for the audience. The technical aspects of the movie are superb, enhancing the overall experience. Overall, it is a great fun ride, decent, fun, and entertaining movie, mainly targeted youth. The second half works well, and Sangeeth's comedy timing adds a lot of laughs. The plot is simple, but the movie is still enjoyable and keeps you entertained.

A disappointed ride...

Bromance is one of those rare films that manages to disappoint on almost every level. It is a movie that neither entertains nor conveys any meaningful message to its audience. From start to finish, it feels like an aimless attempt to pander to a particular segment of youth, without offering anything of substance, emotion, or quality.

The film lacks a proper story. There is no solid narrative to hold the viewer's attention or make them emotionally invest in the characters. What we get instead is a scattered bunch of loosely connected scenes filled with pointless conversations, exaggerated antics, and a tone that never finds its footing. If the makers intended to portray the lives of today's youth, they have unfortunately done so with a lot of noise and very little depth.

Technically, the movie suffers immensely. The music is forgettable and adds nothing to the mood. The editing feels rushed and unpolished, often breaking the flow of already disjointed scenes. The cinematography is shockingly subpar, with unappealing framing and dull visuals that make the film look even cheaper than it probably was. It almost feels like an amateur production that accidentally made its way onto a mainstream OTT platform.

The screenplay and direction are perhaps the biggest culprits. There's no vision guiding the film, no coherent structure, and no attempt to elevate the material beyond cliché. The dialogues are dull, and the humor feels forced and outdated. It's hard to believe this was meant to appeal to a generation that has access to world cinema and cutting-edge content.

Acting-wise, the film doesn't fare any better. Mathew Thomas and Mahima Nambiar deliver flat and uninspiring performances. In particular, Mathew looks disinterested, and Mahima's portrayal lacks charm or conviction, though her speaking style offers a brief moment of intrigue. The only slight curiosity comes from her unique delivery, but even that can't save the film.

Arjun Ashokan, known for his nuanced acting in previous films, surprisingly disappoints here. His character feels half-baked, and his performance lacks the emotional range we usually associate with him. It's hard to understand what went wrong - whether it was poor direction, a weak script, or simply a bad career choice.

The film also leans heavily on songs, dance sequences, and superficial moments of youthful rebellion - none of which resonate. One can't help but wonder: is this all that today's generation needs from cinema? The lack of originality and thought in the film is disheartening.

In conclusion, Bromance is the worst film I've watched this year. It fails to engage, inspire, or even mildly entertain. The only silver lining is that I watched it on OTT, so I didn't waste money - only time. Unfortunately, time is just as valuable.

If you can Survive the first 20 minutes, then...

Let's break this down like an equation: (BROMANCE - Mathew Thomas) + anyone else = a watchable flick

Congratulations to Mathew Thomas-you've officially delivered one of the worst performances by any working actor in recent times. Seriously, it's baffling how you've made it through so many films with such consistently subpar acting.

That said, if you can survive the first 20-25 minutes, the movie actually becomes enjoyable. The humor clicks, the comedy is light-hearted, and it works as a no-brainer entertainer with some decent laughs. The songs didn't do much for me, and while the background score was passable, Govind Vasantha seemed like a shadow of his former self. The Gen-Z and the Vloggers are trolled completely all over the movie was a good part.

Performance-wise, this film belongs entirely to Sangeeth Prathap-he nailed every scene he was in. Arjun Ashokan was okay overall, but in the second half, his performance edged dangerously close to irritating-just a notch above Mathew Thomas. Shajon, with his Don Lee-style mimicry, was fun to watch and delivered good comedic timing. Bharath Bopanna looked the part and played Ashish convincingly. Shyam Mohan didn't have much to do, but he served his role well. Mahima looked beautiful and was okay with her role.

All in all, despite the drag caused by Mathew Thomas, Bromance still worked for me and turned out to be a fun ride.

Rating: 5.5/10.

Avoid if something better to do

Directed by Arun D. Jose and released in 2025, this is an unnecessary one time watch. Time pass that can be avoided actually. Story of a brother who goes missing, and the search by younger brother with some friends he gathers in the process. The only people who have acted well are Arjun Ashokan, Kalabhavan Shajohn and Sangeetha Prathap, also the brother role Shyam Mohan and Binu Pappan as police. Thomas Mathew, not sure if it had to do with the role, comes across as irritating rather than funny with his anger acting. And Mahima Nambiar was unimpressive. The team goes to Koorg where the wedding of Bharat Bopanna's (who looks great) sister is happening, who supposedly. Cheated Shyam Mohan, the reason for the fight and holding him captive when he went to disturb the wedding. Overall other than the irritating role of Thomas Mathew who never manages to make one laugh, kinda watchable movie.

Disappointing!

I am glad I didn't waste my money in watching this at the movies ! There was serious buzz around its release and even some good reviews - but I don't know what they saw in this !

Because personally it was an absolute dud for me ! The comedy were pretty stale, some cringe and filled to brim with cliches!

The start and first half those a bit slow and repetitive - was largely realistic, logical, coherent and believable - but second half and climax - just went total off rails!

Even the actors themselves were really sloppy towards the later part of the movie - like they including the director and crew just lost interest all together!

Verdict - not worth your time !

Bromanace review

Bromanace is a perfect blend of humor, emotions, and friendship, making it an engaging watch. Amal Mathew delivers a flawless performance, while Mathew Thomas and Arjun Ashokan impress with their natural chemistry and comedic timing. Kalabhavan Shajon adds depth with his impactful presence, and Mahima Nambiar shines in her role, bringing charm and emotion to the story. The film beautifully balances fun moments with heartfelt emotions, keeping the audience entertained throughout. With stunning visuals, a catchy soundtrack, and a well-paced narrative, Bromanace is a must-watch for those who love feel-good movies. Fun-filled adventure by friends

Delightful Malayalam adventure comedy that perfectly blends humor, emotions, and music into an engaging cinematic experience. Directed by Arun D Jose, the film takes us on a thrilling ride as Binto (Mathew Thomas) and his brother's friends set out on an unexpected quest to find his missing sibling. What follows is an exciting journey filled with laughter, surprises, and heartfelt moments that make this movie a must-watch.

Mathew Thomas, Arjun Ashokan, Mahima Nambiar, and the entire cast bring their characters to life with natural and energetic performances. Their chemistry feels authentic, making the friendships and relationships relatable.

One of the most refreshing aspects of the film is its use of music as a storytelling device. Instead of a typical background score, composer Govind Vasantha infuses the narrative with short songs, which add an engaging rhythm to the story.

The screenplay is packed with witty dialogues, unexpected twists, and humorous interactions, keeping the audience entertained from start to finish.

The cinematography by Akhil George captures the youthful energy and urban vibe of the story beautifully. The film is visually appealing, adding to its overall charm.

A full pack entertainment!

Amazing! I was laughing throughout the movie. I watched first day show and it was worth it. Loved how the movie was based about friendship. I'm a big fan of friendship comedy movies, the fun element is too good. Really appreciate the collab with the Kodava community, this is something new for me in Malayalam movie.

I must say all the actors did a great job! All had a strong and good role to play, I can't say any one actor was dominating. Ofcourse, I loved certain actors for their witty jokes.

Overall, it's entertainment. I didn't have to think much, like a much needed fun movie. The songs are very groovy, I'm still buzzing on the songs.

You can watch with your family and friends. A light hearted movie :)

A fun filled hilarious movie!!

Fun and Hilarious Journey from Start to Finish!! It is an absolute rollercoaster of laughter and heart! From the very first scene, the film takes you on a delightful ride of wit, charm, and brilliant comedic timing. The actors deliver superb performances, each bringing their unique flair to the story. However, it's Sangeeth who truly steals the show with his impeccable comic timing and infectious energy that leaves you in splits. Arjun Ashok, stepping into the laughter riot during the second half, adds a fresh wave of humor and takes the comedy to a whole new level. The music is equally captivating, enhancing every scene with its upbeat and catchy tunes. The soundtrack adds so much to the film's light-hearted atmosphere. This movie is a must-watch for anyone seeking a fun escape, packed with laughter and memorable performances.
