Kabul (2025) is a truly gritty, powerful and thought provoking series, telling the story of the withdrawal of NATO forces from Afghanistan in 2021. It presents a realistic unbiased, insightful and often emotionally charged perspective of how the withdrawal affected those Afghanis who were lucky enough to make it out during the last couple of days, and the impact on those who were left behind.
Overall the production, direction, filming and performance of the actors, contribute to a deeply moving series, well worth watching.

Great and fascinating story, graphics and high quality. I really like it as much as I like Squid Game its worth seeing.
So I really suggest you to watch it because there are others like me who liked it. It's based on a true story and it's realistic however it was not filmed in Afghanistan Kabul but it feels so realistic The Taliban, local people, commanders, cities and everything.

I was deeply moved by the film Kabul. It powerfully transforms the complex story of Afghanistan from distant headlines into a tangible, human experience.
Having lived outside of my country for some time, my connection to it has often been shaped by the fragmented and often grim news cycles. This movie changed that. It was profoundly impactful to finally see the streets of Kabul and the lives of its people during that time, rather than just hear about them.
It is, without a doubt, a sad and difficult story, but it's an important one. The film captures the resilience, the struggle, and the soul of a place that is so much more than the conflict we see in the media. For any diaspora member feeling disconnected from their homeland, this movie is a poignant and valuable window into the reality so many faced. I highly recommend it.

The story is very good and interesting. The Americans, after so many years of war, abandoned Afghanistan, leaving behind a corrupt and weak army, as well as a corrupt administration. Before they could even leave, the Taliban took over power. Ultimately, it was the citizens who paid the price, and their only mistake was not wanting an oppressive regime. The story is presented realistically and with several genuine scenes. However, the performances are not very strong, and the direction is weak, in my opinion. In conclusion, it is a very interesting series that captivates you with its theme, though not dramatically.
