If you don't mind watching a clueless city-dweller lady seamlessly pick up rural life thanks to a trickster grandma-and a boss who doesn't seem to mind that his best worker is abandoning her job-you will love this film. Be prepared to feel emotionally blackmailed if you don't already own chickens, milk cowns and live on your ancestors' fields. Being an amazing cook is an advantage.

Bonus: you will also find the man of your dreams - but you have to stay on the countryside.

Surely, we have to tackle the issue of migration from villages to cities. What you're about to watch is a 111-minute-long ad disguised as a movie.

This film started well with an interesting plot twist. However who is the target audience for a film about a chef? Presumably an audience who enjoys foodie films and in this case nature. It was enjoyable to watch the rural scenes. As for the cooking, a suspension of logic is required. A chef who can't use a knife ! Hard cheese that matures from manufacture to perfection overnight ! I could go on. It's lazy and ridiculous to assume the audience is so stupid. The supporting actors do a good job here and steal most of the scenes. The Uncles were particularly humorous. The leading lady lets the film down. More preparation for this role was desperately needed.

I mostly enjoyed this movie but it came across as very uneven. 2 days on the farm felt like 3 months.... I didn't feel or see any chemistry between the leads until the end....the "family" and all their ensemble were endearing and realistic if quirky.

*and clearly whoever did the translation for this film did the squid games previously *. (Google it or watch the series. You'll catch on!).

Did I enjoy this film? Mostly, yes.

Did I find it a bit long for the story itself? Yes I did.

Would I recommend it? Probably not. Like I said, too long, uneven storyline, and no chemistry between the leads.

Good for a light entertaining movie. Rather quirky with some unusual circumstances and characters.

And it wants me leave a longer review, which is annoying. If I'd known this in advance, I probably would't have started a review. If I say much more than I will end up sharing "spoilers". So, I'll just say it make me laugh and I didn't cry. It's just a fun story without any voilence and definitely nothing serious. I do recommend it to anyone that just wants to watch something light hearted that you don't have to think too hard about it. Not some big mystery or thriller, I need 22 more and it's done.

Hey, what's not to love? Filmed on location in Poland, which right there makes it worth a look. Lots of cute animals. Good looking lead actors. Kinda of a Polish Hallmark movie.

Seriously if you like light romantic comedies filled with attractive people and fun side characters, give this Netflix movie a look.

Quick bit of applause to Netflix. Don't know how they do it but they seem to be funding movies from all over the globe. Right before watching this movie, we watched a Spanish romantic comedy, also a Netflix original. Keep up the great work, Netflix... We always find something interesting to watch.
