The game was not what I expected. I expected it to be a car survival game with a plot, but it turned out that the game is only explored for the first third, then everything becomes easy and the game becomes a visual novel. At the end, I was just driving a car and reading the story, there was almost no gameplay, it was one-sided. The plot itself is reminiscent of another control game, but even at the end almost nothing is explained, so the residue remained. There were brakes and lags in the initial versions of the game. If you want an atmospheric car ride with a plot, this game will definitely work, but ADD UKRAINIAN LOCALIZATION NEXT TIME PLEASE! In general, I liked the game, it would be nice if there was more gameplay variety.
I see the appeal but after spending 10 hours on the game for which I needed to spend 5 hours on Google and YouTube reading/watching things to help me understand what I'm doing or what I need to do and how to do it, I'm tired of it already.
It is a survival crafting game. You will not see any people, there is no combat and there is a fair bit of reading and research to do in the game itself too. I'm not thick (at least I like to think so) but there are still things that I couldn't understand and failed to achieve because there was no explanation or tutorial either on Google or in the game and after a while it started to feel like work. I like to game to help unwind after a hard week as an alternative to boozing, but this game drove me to boozing.
Thoughtful, difficult, mysterious and slow, you really need to stick with it for hours and hours and hours to succeed. Hours which at my advanced age I just don't have to spare.
Lacks structure. Too many 'What does that mean?' & 'how do I do that?' moments for me.

Pacific Drive is one of those rare, unique experiences that reminds me why I love video games. Along with titles like Death Stranding, Shadow of the Colossus, Morrowind, and Inscryption, it firmly sits in my top list of unforgettable games. The game's atmosphere is eerie and immersive, where the isolation of the open road and the strange occurrences you encounter blend perfectly into a thrilling survival journey.
The concept of driving through a constantly shifting and decaying world, where your car is your only companion and lifeline, is incredibly original. It's a mix of exploration and resource management that keeps you on your toes. Every mile brings new challenges, mysteries, and the growing sense of danger that keeps you hooked from start to finish.
The mechanics of vehicle maintenance and upgrades are engaging, adding a layer of strategy that goes beyond just driving from point A to point B. The visual design and soundscape pull you deeper into this haunted world, where every rustle or engine sound makes you tense up, wondering what might be waiting around the next bend.
Pacific Drive isn't just a game; it's an experience. For those who appreciate games with atmosphere, depth, and a hint of the unknown, this is a must-play.
