This is one of the prominent shows of its time that influenced many people in the Arab world. Especially because it talks about a period that is very sentimental for many Muslim people. The period of Al Andalus (The Muslim kingdom in Iberia) and more specifically the in-between phase of that period. When Al Andalus was split into 22 small kingdoms. What you will find most special in this series is the Arabic poetry, romance and superb acting by Taim Hasan who plays the role of "Al-Mu'tamid" the most influencel leader of this era which is referred to as "Mulouk Al-Tawa'ef" or more commonly "Taifas" which means kings of factions. I watched it in about two weeks but it really left an impact on me and taught me a lot of things about the history of this period.
Surprisingly enough, many facts mentioned did check out when I searched about them and the show stands to its historic accuracy promises, I would recommend it to anyone learning Arabic (for the superb telling of classical Arabic) or anyone trying to understand the history of Iberia. Also, I think that Christian figures in the show were portrayed fairly, "Alfonso VI" who was the prominent Christian king at that time was presented as a very politically skilled man and they didn't particularly focused on any negative qualities.
I like the show but I hope that we soon see new and high quality productions the speak of this era as an important part of Spanish history with fairness and justice to all entities.
