Dark Disciple

VERY STUPID MOVIE . Waste 90 Mins of my life on this crap . Bad acting,there is no story just bunch of detectives with cameras searching for a serial killer which later become something else i don't really understand this movie . I had the feeling form the beginning of the movie that is a bad movie, but i kept watching hoping the story getting better .

This movie is the worst movie i have ever seen in my whole life .

I gave # 1 easily.

Can't really add much to the reviews already posted, so I'll break it down:

STORY - Unique and intriguing Crime Drama/Horror.

SCREENPLAY - This film has very little dialogue and what is there has very little continuity. Action and scene structure adds to the disjointed feel.

DIRECTING - This where it gets weird. LOTS of random shots separated by "fade to black". Many of which do nothing to move the story forward. Comes across as an art project as opposed to a feature film.

CINEMATOGRAPHY - This is where this film shines. Beautiful scenes, great locations. Fix the issues noted above to make the most of this.

ACTING - Actors were okay given the dialogue they had to work with. However, the sound was odd and monotone. Sounded almost like voice-over in an anime. This didn't help with the delivery of the few lines they had. Hence, they come across as wooden.

ACTION/FX - Very good (when there is some) and well choreographed, but you have to wait for the final 15 minutes to really see any of it.

All that said, it kept my interest enough that I watched through the end.

I would like to express my deep appreciation to a very talented cast and crew for your excellence and commitment to this project. Although it's been a challenging journey, I'm sure you'll find this finished product worth the wait.

The reviews (even the harsh ones) are greatly appreciated, as they gave us the pulse of what improvements/changes needed to happen in order to bring this film to the next level.

"Dark Disciple" is also a testament to what can be accomplished if you don't quit. As I couldn't afford film school, so I trained for years on the side. We only had a four person core production crew so we worked extra hard to take up the slack. We had a limited budget so we determined that what we lacked in finances we made up for with good, old fashioned ingenuity, (building our own dolly, crane, steady-cam, studio lights, sets and unique theatrical weapons).

The action is unreal! From the reviews I was reading I thought it was supposed to be a smaller budget film.. Freakin A they killed it with the action. Im a huge action junkie and haven't seen anything like this in a long time. Im wondering if there are any other movies with either the lead actor or the action choreographer. If anyone else could comment to let me know that would be great. Looking for more films like this but there isn't any info online. The film is too good to be the only one put out by these guys. Definitely worth a couple watches. Great flick. I got mine from amazon but wish I could have seen it in an actual theater. Struck me as my kind of film and I was dead on. Great Friday night movie. Its got the thriller elements with some awesome action you'll doubtfully see in another film anytime soon.

This movie was absolutely fantastic! I couldn't turn away! It kept moving and literally had me waiting to see what came next. The acting was incredible, the martial arts were choreographed perfectly and there was just the right amount action!
