A tough female cop is married to a house husband who secretly turns out to be an agent with skills. When he is lured out of his retirement to help rescue another colleague. His actions overlap with his wife's investigatio. The story is fast actually too fast. It is not confusing just if they had slowed things down now and then I would have understood the jokes better.

The action sequences are inventive and original and funny. Generally the humor is quite good with some laugh out loud moments amidst the fighting and shooting. Hwang Jung Min is versatile and adept at comedy. Look out for a homage to his other roles.

MISSION: CROSS is kind of the Korean version of MR & MRS SMITH, following the story of an unhappily married suburban couple. The wife is a top police officer while the husband stays at home and runs the place, but of course he holds some secrets too and eventually the characters collide in a typical spy/action/suspense plotline. I found this one a bit of a disappointment as although the action is okay, it's too mannered and hyper-stylised to really work. Hwang Jang Min is a reliable screen presence but the actress playing his wife overacts horrible and the repeatedly forays into slow motion just look silly. It's an entirely forgettable action comedy.

That enjoyment is largely drawn from the relationship between the married couple at the centre of this drama. Their misadventures provide plenty of room for sparky dialogue amid a journey of mutual discovery.

The action that otherwise dominates the film is well-staged but not remotely believable. So if you like slick action it might do it for you. If, like me, action gains from emotional investment in the plight of those involved or a sense of palpable threat, then you will gain less pleasure from the shootings and explosions.

But I did still enjoy the husband and wife in the middle of it all.

While action dramas are not my favorite genre, I do occasionally enjoy them for a change of pace and this film filled the niche nicely. I really enjoyed the plot line - it has some good twists that are well set up by the previous story-line (I hate plot twists that are set up via misleading scenes and fortunately, this show doesn't stoop to that level).

I thought the action scenes were very well played except for the climactic scene which did go for the cannon fodder trope (having masses of enemy combatants blindly run thru doors or around corners so they can be mowed down by the protagonists). I'll give them a pass on it since it was at the end and thus did not detract from the rest of the show.

I really enjoyed the nuanced humor that was interspersed within the more series aspects of the show and I thoroughly enjoyed the dynamic between the two leads, Hwang Jung-min and Yum Jung-ah. Their interactions as a married couple was fun to watch.

Well worth the 100 minute run time.

Mission Cross (2024) is good to watch. In my perspective i will give it upper than average rating. It is not like hilarious, fantastic and super but it is okay to watch. The ending of the was fine. Action scene and funny moments was good part of the movie. I could rate it more than i am giving, if the movie story bit high. I will definitely recommend it to watch this if you are looking for more than average rating movie and spending a random time this movie is good for you. You will enjoy this movie for sure at least. The ending part was also good though. So i suggest you to watch.

Park Kang-moo is a sincere and kind house-husband to Kang Mi-seon who is a top detective in violent crimes division. What she doesn't know is that Kang-moo is an ex-spy and was forced to leave his past life after a failed mission. As he leads a boring yet satisfying life of an house-husband, a chance encounter with Jang Hee-joo, his junior will make him to go back to his life as a spy in order to help Hee-joo save her kidnapped husband. This case gets entangled with the one Mi-seon is investigating on and she soon suspects Kang-moo of having an affair with Hee-joo. As they both get into the game without knowing the players, the danger that follows will bring them closer. How do they get out of the mess and save their marriage, forms rest of the story.

The writing is basic at it's best and after the only big reveal about the mysterious villain, half way into the film, Mission: Cross literally is devoid of any intriguing moments and the action too is quite generic to stand out. All it leaves is the two main leads to kick up the spark and the comic timing to salvage what's left but that just proves to be not enough. Even with the runtime of barely 100mins, the film gets boring and the half baked screenplay doesn't really offer anything to remember. Spoiler, the film does end on a note opening up for a sequel but there is hardly any interest left to care for it.

Not too much into Asian movies, let alone Korean, but I was browsing out of boredom and here it was, a movie that was packed with good action, interesting plot, and gave me some good haha moments. 'Mission: Cross' surprised me in many ways. The story is engaging, and the characters are well-developed with unique backstories that add depth.

The action sequences are decent, with good fight scenes and thrilling moments. The cinematography captures the essence of the bustling city and the intense atmosphere of the missions. The humor is well-placed, balancing the serious undertones of the plot.

The cast chemistry was fantastic. At first it gave off the usual useless husband plot but it soon turned out to be great. Highly recommended for a movie night.

I love this very star studded movie bought by netflix !! Its very entertanining hilarious me and my wife are laughing so hard .. feel good movie with some tough of western style spy or CIA thingy .. but its good writing this review while on my smoke break we havent finished the movie yet but im rating it now to be first person to rate this.. so far we are enjoying this too much .. that we have to pause while we go the comfort room or have a smoke .. very entertaining with likeable actors and very famous korean actors .. watch and enjoy it you will have a good luaGH WATCH IT WITH YOUR PARTNER to enjoy it.

Keuroseu or mission cross is a netflix orginal korean comedy film. I think it does very well and actually mixes comedy well with the crime elements. It has a pretty good cast that all work well together and the action elements are both fun to watch and funny, especially when the detective uses her knuckle taser. This film focuses on a couple, kang mi seon the detecitve and her husband park kang moo and she does not know about his previous life, so while investigating something major its not long before the unlikely heroes team up to protect one another in the ultimate test to their marriage. This was overall a pretty fantastic film.

Hwang Jung-min is one of my favorite actors out of South-Korea and his movies are always a prize to see.

This one is also one of his biggest. He plays the houseman of a very tough policewoman, and she doesn't know his past. But, she will find out, and then the movie begins even better.

Cant tell too much, just relax and enjoy this action/comedy.

Don't forget to watch the scene were he has glasses and tries to infiltrate with a truck for sewers. And later acts like a patient from the facility.

Also, the supporting roles are very good and funny.

For me, this is a very good solid actionflick fom the south-koreans.

Just watch and enjoy.

At first I thought this would be like the movie spies. This however was different in which how the wife found out about the husbands true past. It was so funny that it kept me hooked and I was able to binge watch this in a short amount of time. The leading actress was from skycastle. She hasn't changed a bit . Same personality and the same short hairstyle that suits her. I find her attractive. The funniest part of this movie was when she went on a stakeout to see what her husband was doing and thought that she was cheating on her with a female agent who eventually turned out to be a rogue agent. She was going to give it to him when she caught him. The thing was that he had to rescue her instead. Lots of action and some comedy to boot. This was fun to watch. Finally after watching all of the garbage on Netflix I was able to watch something decent.

This is a very underrated movie, why is this rated as 6 ???? I am very happy i didn't go after the reviews because this movie is really funny and the action part is really good too.

I enjoyed it from the very beginning to the end, good action and excellent story plot and the ending is very satisfying. I love korean comedy in this movie because its showing without the need of characters speech, so the actors achieved this in excellent manner.

I don't want to spoil it on others but it also shows how marriage work and how a wife and husband is supposed to support each other and get through everything gracefully.
